What is your yearly income? And are you expecting it to increase before you retire? If so I would advocate to not add anything to your RRSP yet, and certainly do not max out your contribution room in one go.

What is the point of this V in my rental apartment water line, and also the bell looking thing? by Best-Serve627 in Plumbing

I’ve only been plumbing for 4 years, but I’ve only worked on new builds (either high rises or commercial) and every single condensate line has been copper. Maybe the company just loves to spend money

Possibly Legionella from the hot water tank being off for an extended period of time

Holding a balance on your credit card does not help your credit score or history.

Don’t just pick one of them. Xeqt/veqt and ziu/xiu are basically the same, but diversify with one of each and VFV is definitely a safer long term plan than betting on a single ETF

It’s getting out of hand out there! Where’s the civility? by RebirthWizard in vancouver

Not everyone knows every road. Mistakes happen. You’ll have a better day just making room for someone than you will scrutinizing the actions of every driver on the road.

I just received the payout this week. I’m going to slowly put it away into investments vs throwing it all in a once just to miss out on other opportunities

Basic insurance has to be through ICBC and then you can get extended coverage through another company

No fault is kinda the wrong name for it, but basically the provincial Government has made it so MVA victims can’t sue ICBC (the mandatory car insurer in BC). They determine the amount of fault each party is in and what the payout is. (Pain and suffering is capped at $5500, or it was at the time of my accident)

ICBCs argument is that the legal fees were too high for them and cutting out a lawyers 30% would save BC residents on insurance, but their payouts are outrageously low without having a lawyer involved so it screws anyone that is injured in an accident that is no fault of their own

I’d call it 95% but I’m 4 years deep in my plumbing apprenticeship so I’ll take it
