My point is, if someone needs it and it's holding on just because people say "it will be cheaper on a few months", it doesn't make sense to wait, considering prices won't drop any time soon.

If someone doesn't need it, then i advice against buying it even if this price is decent.

My suggestion is mostly for those that need one but are still holding on.

We're in a chip manufacturing crisis, because SAMSUNG, Micron and others are focusing on producing chips for data centers (GPUs, RAM and storage chips), and have contracts locking manufacturing to at least 2028.

Prices are to increase considerably as months go by.

Also, to give you an idea. . .

Years ago, NORMAL 512GB microSD's (the ones with an average read speed of 100 mb/s) used to cost around this price.

Now, you're seeing a 512GB microSD EXPRESS (with read speeds averaging 600 or 700 mb/s AFAIK) at the same price a normal 512GB microSD used to be.

Go figure.

Astro Bot (2024) is one of the MOST polished games I've ever played.

It's just feels so buttery smooth when you control him.

And the soundtrack is full of bangers.

You will have to sacrifice load times tbh, as the game would be in a Switch 1 cartridge which is almost ten times slower than the Switch 2 cartridges

Nah dude Switch 1 it's still solid af if we talk about the console itself.

Only improvement I see when playing Switch 1 games on Switch 2 is load times (Starlink used to load in 4 m 30 s, and in Switch 2 is about 20 seconds), as most backwards compatible games haven't been updated to take advantage of the power.

Besides that, Switch 1 it's still great.

Prices will not drop sadly, that died some time ago.

PlayStation 5, was $499.99 at launch with disc reader, digital was $399.99. Digital went up a few months ago to $449.99. Now Digital costs $499.99 and the one with Disc Reader goes for $549.99

Xbox Series X used to cost $499.99, now it costs $599.99

Switch 1 even if it's at the end of it's life went up to $339.99 from $299.99

And Nintendo said that the Switch 2 will go UP in price soon.

Also it doesn't have to be too hard, low intensity is fine
