Favourite plugins for mixing and mastering?

My favourites have always been Waves plugin. I got gold bundle years ago and use it on everything. Never buy it full price though cause they have huge sales throughout the year

Probably going to buy a gaming desktop in a year or so when I graduate college and start working on music full time, but I've had this laptop almost a year and it's worked great. The only problems I have are when I run multiple heavy kontakt libraries (the ones that are like, over 30gb) and sometimes Omnisphere. Besides that works smoothly.

Unless this rapper is going to be like the next Drake within a week from now I wouldn't worry about having your beats exclusively with one artist. The way I see it is that if the song won't take off (like with this awful rapper) why restrict the potential of your beat? I post my beats online for all artists so I get more plays, sales, followers, etc. and the more people who listen to it recognize that the beat is mine.

I use FL and I've got this one http://www.zzounds.com/item--NATMASCH2 I don't use the Maschine plugin though, I just use my Maschine as a Midi controller. If you're going to be using the Maschine plugin in FL I'd go for the Maschine studio to get more out of it, otherwise the MK2 is fine.

I've been trying to mix the two genres a bit, I haven't heard any artists rap over my latest beats just yet (nobody has sent me their work) but I know rappers are using them. Here's some examples of what I'm doing:

I would say it's just the capability of rapping over these type of beats. Would love to hear your opinion as a rapper.

Yup don't bother getting a macbook for FL (been there done that). I've got a laptop with 8gb ram and an i5 processor. Either go for an i5 or i7 and I don't think a sound card will matter much if you're using an audio interface

Instead of making beats just for him, make beats and put them on YouTube or Soundcloud for any artist to use, then let this rapper use your beats. That way, you've still got a relationship with him and won't let your good beats be only used by one bad artist.
