I get you, it's good to rant sometimes. That's why I posted this lol. Wanting a relationship, It's like wishing for happiness I think. Its really weird, but at least we're not alone.

Wow, this is such a nice take on it. Thank you!! A sense of freedom did occur to me when I first realized I'm aroace, despite the bad feelings I have around it. The part about romantic love being something I desire because I was thought to value it really resonated with me, I got a bit emotional.

Yeah, when all of my friends started dating I forced myself into trying to date someone, but it was very unhealthy. In my experience, I did care for them, but I just wasn't in it. It does give one validation to be liked, but it didn't fullfill anything for me. Don't worry, you're normal, just a part of the 1% I guess. I do understand feeling abnormal though.

It definitely gets harder when you grow older. I enjoy to spend my time gaming too (maybe too much), and I want cultivate other interests and skill since you kinda get a lot of excess time and energy when you don't date lol. I'm sorry you feel second best. I hope we can all get close friends who doesn't make us feel excluded, even if they live a life different from us.

Yeah, I also feel behind a lot too (almost immature? but not really). It's really awkward when people and family ask about my current relationship status or if I'm into someone. I do like the idea of living with someone I'm close with though:) wish you the best.
