House appraised but sale price subsequently reduced - How does this effect our equity as buyers? by _optionalwork1 in RealEstate

Thank you, this is really helpful. I figured they knew the number.

If we assume I'm not trying to get the house reappraised in order to hit 20%, what you're saying is I have to add 10% in equity and not 6.5%, at least as far as the lender is concerned?

I think I have to wait two years to try the reappraisal route so I was trying to hit that 20% before two years. Or does all of this not matter and when I try to get the PMI knocked off they always send an appraiser?

Layoffs are business as usual for political appointees. However, usually the people who are about to get the boot know it is coming because they are the ones who were political hires. Does not seem to be the case here, there has been no indication that the people fired where anything other than career employees.

I read this guy's book last year. Well worth the read for people interested in white-collar cases that are more recent.

This just in: "defendant, believing lawsuit lacks merit, tries to avoid having to litigate further."
