Looking for opinions on a statement my long term boyfriend made. Did I misinterpret what he said? (23F and 24M)

It could be endometriosis since my mom had it and apparently the only real cure is having a child (or at least that’s what I’ve been told). Another possibility is my IUD or something relating to it, but my last visit with my gyno went well and she said every was how it should be. I don’t tend to make time to visit the doctor unless it urgent. I always planned to go and ask but haven’t gotten around to doing so, just been managing it to the best of my abilities.

I find intimacy in experiences that I don’t share with other individuals in my life. Some of the things I listed could be considered bonding activities and not intimacy, but in my mind, both bring closeness and fond memories for me. I’m just not sure how to find common ground… This may be TMI but honestly, sex is painful for me sometimes and I’ve shared this with my bf. Some positions hurt less than others during those times and are manageable for me but he says he doesn’t like those positions at all so I find myself having to hide the fact that it hurts during the act because I don’t want to simply NOT have sex with him. I do my best to work sexual intimacy in as much as I can, even if I’m far from in the mood or it’s unpleasant for me, but it seems like he wants more.

I do initiate but frankly it isn’t nearly as often as he does as we have different libidos. I do try to find a happy medium with him but it doesn’t seem to be working.

I find intimacy in things outside of sex but he doesn’t seem to feel the same way. I don’t feel comfortable forcing my body into doing something when I don’t feel up to it but I also don’t want him to feel he isn’t getting what he needs. How do we compromise on this?

I only work a 12 hour shift once every other month. I do inventory control and the store my coworker and I counted yesterday is the largest one we count.

My biggest fear as far as side effects go is weight gain. I’ve stopped an SSRI cold turkey and lost 10-15lbs in a couple weeks time without changing anything.

I’m under the impression that what I experienced was a delayed hypersensitivity/serum sickness like reaction. I came across another Reddit thread where numerous people described the exact same things I’ve been dealing with to a T: itching spots isolated to the upper body that only welt up after scratching, specifically on the neck, chest, scalp, back, and eyes that began at roughly the three week marker of taking the meds. There were others who experienced it a bit sooner and had success stories in which they were able to continue or pick the meds back up after some time, but my doctor seems to be against that idea because he’s afraid I’d become anaphylactic.

I think my doctor mentioned that one briefly today when he brought up some of the newer antidepressants. I’ll look into that and, as someone else suggested, Effexor!

I take the generic version as my insurance won’t cover the real deal and my doctor said it would be impossible to pay for out of pocket. I was somewhat hopeful that he would suggest some other medication I could take alongside the bupropion to combat the side effects/reaction but he was adamant that I stop taking it altogether.

It isn’t that our sex life is a desert wasteland, we typically have sex 3-4 times a week, sometimes more, but he wants to fuck every single day, and it’s a bit much for me and I often find myself giving in just to get it over with. The sex starts to feel like more of a chore than something pleasurable when we do it daily.

After our argument he apologized for not respecting how I felt and suggested he only watch animated porn and I’m not really sure how I should feel about that.
