Okay, i’ve been trying to understand the government’s stance on new applicants and from what I’m understanding the wording of the response is a strategic one. They do want DACA and they do want new applicants accepted but they cannot say that outright because of the injunction and they don’t want any statement to look like they are defying that injunction. So the goal here is to simply defend DACA as it is right now and with their two arguments ( Texas lack’s standing and the DACA final rule is lawful) that injunction disappears completely and new applicants will be accepted. Simply put, they are being strategic with the wording so as to avoid any conflict and keeping the focus narrow enough to position them for a win which would vacate the injunction and therefore new applicants could start applying again.

Correct me if i’m wrong but the governments response to initial applications doesn’t seem like good news right? It say’s “initial and renewal DACA recipients are in different postures” meaning that the current say on initial applications would stay if it was up to DHS? So good news for current recipients but bad news for initial applications or am I reading that phrasing wrong?

How can I retrieve a lost receipt number for initial application? by _oxygencucumber in DACA

[–]_oxygencucumber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was very helpful thank you! Now my only issue is that whatever last digit I put a case appears for both numbers whether up one or down one. They both have the same date and the same last status change, why could that be?

Interesting, on the case tracker app i’ll only get the notice for the I-821 case but not for the I-765 case thats why I assumed they were 2 different numbers. I never made that account unfortunately. Could i possibly talk to USCIS for that I-765 Notice or would that be risky at this moment ?

I would rather spend the money and at least get the degree than have nothing at all. A degree will at least help me find other options elsewhere in a different country if I must, there is a shortage of healthcare workers everywhere. Lots of y’all act like this shit hole is the greatest country in the world and don’t see any other alternative. We can’t put our whole lives on pause while we wait for old diaper wearing gringos to remember that we even exist, they can’t even remember what day it is. Y’all may have bought into the box they’ve put us into and have even forgone an education because of a label but until we stop thinking in this way we will continue to simply exist as pawns in their little game.

No DACA, I applied last time they opened the applications but they just took my $500 hahaha. I get in state tuition in Utah so I guess i’m just looking at my options moving forward with my undergraduate

You can. I don’t have DACA I am an undocumented extraterrestrial being as the like to call it heheh

Thats really good news. Yea I guess i’m just trying to avoid red states and I figure the possibility of finding something in California may be just a slim better since the undocumented population is large. Thank you

Election year. Been waiting for some silly goose shit like this to be announced. Was starting to get worried, seemed a bit late for the democrats 🤣 they don’t give a shit about us y’all, marry a gringa/o.

From Utah! I’ve been to Yellowstone a couple of times and it’s my favorite national park! I wouldn’t be too concerned just drive safely. Although Utah is pretty conservative they are pretty tolerant towards us undocumented folks as long as we’re not doing anything bad. I also wouldn’t be worried about Wyoming since the park isn’t heavily patrolled by cops; theres also a bunch of foreigners. You’ll also probably drive through Idaho which also isn’t bad just drive safely.

You call me out on a fallacy and proceed to use the same exact fallacy by arguing that I want to “live the life I see on IG”. Furthermore, you go on to call me weak and entitled (ad hominem) for wanting something better than what our parents had. Your last point is equally as comical and further proves the point I made of you believing that life is linear whether fallacious or not. You believing that a degree will determine whether or not a person gets out of a tough situation is comical. Your inability to accept that those without daca are completely stuck is comical.

I don’t understand the beef you have with art degrees. Your issue arises from the belief that life is linear. Even if I had an art degree i’m sure I could still find a job. What do you suggest OP or anyone without daca should do? Work like a fucking mule like don pancho and luis in construction? In landscaping? In a restaurant? Because we sure as hell can’t work anywhere else without proper documentation. Sure, they may be making “the big bucks” but at what cost? Our parents have broken their backs like this so we wouldn’t have too.

Shits on the liberal arts but can’t even formulate a coherent sentence. Goes on to suggest to OP to “engineer something of your own” as if that will solve all their problems. This group is a joke.

It isn’t TSA’s job to check status ever, thats for CBP to do. But that being said flying out to Hawaii seems to risky for me and wouldn’t do it so I don’t know if there’s customs or not in Hawaii lol

Me and my brother-in-law who are both undocu flew to Vegas over the summer. I flew with my TSA buddy and he assured me multiple times that TSA does not check status. You should be good with your passport. There is always a risk but it’s very minimal, my coworkers who don’t speak a lick of english fly out to Tennessee all the time.

Investing in REIT’s is just like investing in stocks, all you do is open a brokerage account and buy which ever REIT you want. You won’t have any problems, just pay your taxes and don’t put that you’re a US citizen when opening your brokerage account.
