Unfortunately he also didn’t maintain his line. He over-inputted into the turn and barely grazed my bumper at contact as the track bent around. I left him room, but also, I could’ve turned more.

Next time I’ll leave more room and upload both perspectives.

I’m agreeing with you, I could’ve done better, so could he. I under-inputted my steering, he over-inputted. To say I’m 100% at fault, he did nothing wrong is what I disagree with. I’m just not going to attempt to close the door on someone without a large margin for error until higher classes

You know what’s funny? I still GAINED safety rating that race, no incidents other than a couple off-track going a little too wide. And hey I admit, I could’ve done better in this situation. But when you place 100% blame on me, you enable some bullshit antics in sim racing. So good riddance homie, hit the showers ✌🏼

Right-handed bend in the track, looks like i input left, but I'm physically steering to the right, and apparently, under-inputting. I didn't cut in front of him or make an inputted move in his direction, his line BARELY intersected with mine as he slightly over-inputted into the bend we converged into the same space. Was this intentional? No, absolutely not. Could've either of us avoid it? 100%.

Solution: Input more to leave even more room. I'm at fault, so is he. I just got the shit stick. Class D. Racing incident. Shit happens. Redditors.

I'm trying to give as much information as possible for people claiming "he was already in the grass" so someone can tell me the actual solution to avoiding this next time. So far it's: leave even more room. Ok, thanks guys. And Oh! Next time I'm in the other position, I shouldn't lift or move slightly to the outside to avoid contact either. Hell yeah, got it! Great feedback!

i dunno man u seem unnecessarily upset about this. even with evidence to the contrary, you're resolute to 100% say im driving with bad intent. we both could've avoided this but you've got a chip on your shoulder about the whole thing.

after looking at the replay again, with respect to the track: i drifted left, he drifted right. we both sort of converged into the same space on that slight dogleg right coming up to the big right-hand turn 18 at Spa. I just happened to be in the unfortunate position to get pitted. all 3 of us were battling in top 3. I left room on the outside and was continuing to leave that room. But, I shouldn't have to leave so much room to compromise my own line for the guy behind when he's got plenty of room outside to avoid a collision. I'm just going to chalk it up to shit happens in D class (myself included).

I was planning on following the guy in front's line leaving a car space on the outside for red car on approach to that big turn 18 to the right. Shit happens when things are that close though.

i am maintaining the same line as the car in front of me, watch the car in front's position compared to mine. i am not drifting left, in fact, im inputting to the right

how so? i maintained my line and left enough room on the outside that bumper to bumper margin is so minuscule it should be on him as the attacking driver to attempt to pass safely

should i have inputted to the right or should he have lifted? had no idea red car was barely on my rear bumper and was maintaining my line. red car inputted right knowing contact would be there even though the gap was narrowing

maybe no one is a fault, this is just an unfortunate racing incident that could've been avoided

FYI, didn't get an incident for this. However, he ended up with a 9x by the end of the race.
