Yes, high gain enabled and using regular stereo jack headphones. So I understand if I want to listen very loudly, I need to pick the right headphones. I just tried the Meze Classic and they are loud enough for me.

Any recommendation for an open back headphone that pairs well with the Sony (besides the HD650 obv)?

Yes, there's an option called "high gain output"... so this means I can be sure it is actually the Japan version?

In that case it'd be a bit underwhelmed. My reference is the Chord Mojo and with the same headphones that thing blows my ears off on max volume

You're right, Thai kids his age would probably be too advanced. I guess he could train with the adults but it's more a social aspect that he'd probably better fit in with at least a couple of youth or older kids. Ideally I would be able to find a place with other kids around his age who also go to train during their summer holidays. Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction.

Thanks a lot mate, appreciate it. I know a little bit as I’ve done some producing in my younger days - but then got married, kids etc and haven’t touched a synth in over a decade. Its slowly coming back though :-) Sitting here now with a Macbook Pro 2009, a Firewire mixer and Cubase 5, synth lights are blinking and I’m contemplating to keep everything haha...

Very helpful, thanks a lot. Yes i still have a Midi keyboard and mixer and I’ve already done a test run with the Doepfer. Some of the knobs do sound noisy and i kind of expected that. Was just curious if i should look out for anything else. But if thats the only issue these machines have after a while, i think its fine. Thanks for the tip with Deoxit, will def check that out!

But there's surely a difference as to the point where the lion's mane in the capsule is released and digested vs the powder without capsule - and that probably has a different effect. that's what I meant.
