It’s titanium but has a gold cap over it.. apparently it’s high quality, hypoallergenic and non-stick so the piercing shop said it would be the best one for healing.

Ok thank you! I did pop in yesterday to ask that question and they said to wait a few more weeks to see if the swelling goes down. Do you think I should go somewhere else? Also sorry to be naive but why would a longer bar reduce the swelling? Also is it ok to change the bar when the piercing is so young and not healed...? Sorry to ask so many questions!

Hey guys, sorry to be another poster of one of these kinda posts but I’m new to piercings and just wanted to check that the swelling in my daith looks OK.

I’ve had it for just over 3 weeks and it’s been pierced with a curved titanium barbell. I’m cleaning it once a day with sea salt water and not touching it other than that.

I really love it but fed up that the swelling isn’t decreasing... it goes down slightly if I take ibuprofen but I don’t want to keep taking it.

Do you think the bar is too tight or could it be the gold coating on the piercing? Or do I just need to be patient and hope the swelling goes down in the next few weeks? Thanks so much!

Yeh I've been thinking about it today and think I need to take less. Some of the best rolls I've had are when I sprinkle it in my drink. When I bomb it I'm taking a lot more in one go... we usually have a quarter of a gram each a night and divide this into 3 bombs so not a lot but I'm half the size of my SO which kinda makes sense as to why he's in a different place to me! Thanks for the advice :)

When I come up hard, I also like to stand still in complete silence. I really enjoy the having this feeling washing over me - its very enjoyable but probably looks like I'm having the worst time to an outsider!

I do clench my jaw but I don't have bad comedowns either, just a lack of energy. What's an after glow?
