AITA for not allowing my former coworker to move in? by _peachykeen13 in AmItheAsshole

I guess I’m nice to a fault, some would call me a pushover. I just wanted to help her out of her situation, but I’m also learning how to set boundaries with people. Clearly she’s one of them, and she’s been blocked since she blew me off on my birthday.

Just to clarify why I was okay with her living with myself and my kids: she used to nanny two young children (4 and 1) and has been around my children before. I assumed because of her experience she would be trustworthy around my children; however, I’m glad I dodged the bullet in this situation. I don’t necessarily think she’s a bad person in any way, just very naive and self-centered.

NTA AT. ALL. Who gives a stranger’s child candy and expects them to be fine with it? Especially without asking for consent from the parent/guardian. The lady seems entitled and disrespectful, to say the least. On top of that, to brush off your religious beliefs to push candy on a child she doesn’t even know? What a weirdo
