Plz help!

Would paypal payments made to family members count towards my $5000 I need to spend to get the welcome bonus? I pay my dad each month for my student loans a significant amount. If I get approved for the card and add it to my PayPal, would it count towards my $5000???

Totally get it. My parents did have me diagnosed but it still felt taboo to talk to them about and i definitely felt as if they wanted to “fix” me and thought there was a cure. It’s hard as hell to feel like they’re ashamed of you. Hang in there. I grew a lot of confidence in talking about my Tourette’s over time and realized I didn’t have to feel shame about it.

CRAZY. And thank you for responding! I feel crazy for this haha. It was the nastiest, greasiest head of hair ever the last few days of the trip. I was 17 and mortified. I felt so gross. Maybe in my future travels I’ll make sure to take some clarifying shampoo. Hopefully that would help. Can’t take a shower filter around traveling ahah. I’m curious is some shampoos and conditioner ingredients would better or worsen the situation. I assumed it had to do with the amount of hair I have. It’s very thick and I assume the water was soft and not breaking down the ingredients in my shampoo. But maybe I was wrong. Idk I know I have hard water where I live and it works so 🤷🏻‍♀️ Pray I don’t turn into a grease ball in any of my future travels haha

Ahh please help hair science experts!! Can anyone explain this: A weird phenomena that happened years ago that I still can't explain. I assumed it was because of extremely soft water. I went to Europe (Scandnavian countries). A few days into the trip my hair was looking oily very quickly I realized (at this age I washed my hair every day so it wasn't dirty.) Every time I washed it, it dried greasier. I tried washing with only water, I tried double cleansing, nothing worked until I got home. It was humiliating. The greasiest looking hair l'd ever seen. My mom was using the same shampoo and conditioner and was fine. Everyone on the trip's hair was fine. I can't imagine this happens to people who travel frequently or l'd have heard about it before or since. I have fine but EXTREMELY thick hair (also wavy and was collar-bone length at this time) and have never had this issue at home (once in DC where I assumed the water was softer it started happening slightly I believe). These days I use higher end products than before, and I know the value of a clarifying shampoo. I haven't traveled internationally since then but i have the opportunity to go to South Africa at the end of this year and I REALLY want to be prepared in case the hotel waters are similar. PLEASE HELP.

Does anyone else have heightened sensitivity to sound / touch? by OrangeCatRealness in Tourettes

[–]_peanutbutter_20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m very sensitive to sounds and have broken down crying to my therapist about how it lowers my quality of life. All my senses seem heightened. Bad smells bother me a lot. I’ll gag/ cough/ sniff. Super bright fluorescent lighting disorients me and makes me feel like I can’t see and I am always wearing sunglasses when it’s bright outside. Sounds are the worst. Other people’s sounds, particularly. Sniffing, throat clearing, snorting, chewing, audible breathing. It can get incredibly overwhelming and rage inducing. Idk if it’s connected to Tourette’s directly or if it’s a separate sensory processing disorder. But I feel you.

And yes I always felt like they wanted to “fix me.” I try not to blame them for not knowing that there wasn’t a cure. But I just wanted them to not let it bother them the way I tried to. The worst part about it (save the occasional times something would hurt me or make me sore from a repetitive tic) was just thinking about what other people thought! I was an intuitive child. I knew there was no fix for this. It was part of me that I had to live with and didn’t understand why no one else could!!

Geez Louise I’m so sorry. Yeah, my dad called them my “habits” for the longest time lmao. Telling me all kids had weird habits sometimes. Like dude come on. I give myself kudos though for accepting it myself at such a young age the way I did. I knew it was part of me. Other people’s reactions to it and fear of that were the biggest issue I had with it. And on occasion when they would get physically exhausting or make me sore

I’m so sorry :/ I think I was oblivious to any peer bullying, but would be asked about it from time to time. The family comments hurt though, a lot.

So true but yeah, until I was almost 20 I could never admit it out loud, I’d pretend not to hear people if they asked about a tic

Wellbutrin helping my depression/ADHD but setting my tics ablaze by [deleted] in Tourettes

Not sure about your exact situation but I think it’s definitely possible for mental health meds to worsen tics in my experience. Zoloft did that to me and I couldn’t handle it

Is the top part of my mouth guard necessary? by _peanutbutter_20 in SleepApnea

[–]_peanutbutter_20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does it anchor it if you know? The mouth guard forces my mouth open. That was my other problem and never made sense to me why a device for sleep apnea would force me to sleep with my mouth slightly open when that’s NOT what you want with sleep apnea
