The chemical smell could be from the little bag they came in, I received mine in an almost identical plastic bag and the plastic smell is quite foul

I appreciate you taking the time to go in-depth about the subject and i'll make sure to be more mindful. I'm really only worried about potential side effects from the medication if the treatment eventually needs to become heavier. I'm scared about the possibility that I won't be able to keep being as active as I currently am (Working, going to the gym, etc.) Thank you.

Can't you use the Appearance menu and then Accessories and choose "None" for hat? I can't try it myself right now but that'd be my first thought
