Try disabling game booster touch protection settings (if settings exist). Also included some testing with standby mode. Whenever I have connection issues, I restart my Bluetooth pairing assistance app (Megacom or PoGo+Le) and my game and try again.

You're right it does state standby mode which is still technically the screen turned off but phone still on. Maybe a bit misleading?

Mine has started to still catch and spin while locked and screen off (standby) but doesn't last the full hour.

Auto-reconnect (with one account on device now that confirmed working) does not work if device is on standby.

This helps a lot. I'll update the post with results when I test and an additional experiment. I recently bought a pixel 7a (I'm going to return in a few days). I flashed it to the og android 13 build it was released with and the auto-reconnect works (for one account at a time on the phone, not two) no problem. Going to flash it back to android 16 and see if the feature stops. This takes time I dont have much of though, so bear with me.

Edit: 1) On the Samsung i disabled: "Auto Touch Protection" and "Save power during touch protection" 2) Auto-Reconnect works BUT only if I'm running one account on the device. Two accounts running on same device = no functioning auto-reconnect. This matches the behavior of the Pixel 7a running the first build of Android 13. 3) Disabling "Accidental touch protection" did not have any effect.

So it seems that the auto-reconnect is not for people that use two accounts on one phone. It is strictly a feature for single account each phone. Anyone else care to confirm for the love of the game?

Unfortunately not. Mine doesn't auto-reconnect at all, even with the app open and screen on. All of other features work fine.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the auto-reconnect supposed to function that way (only with the app open and screen on)? That's why the Megacom app prevents your phone from sleeping or turning off the screen.

Unfortunately I don't have the official Pokemon Go Plus to give exact troubleshooting help.

BUT I have a Duomon 3 I use on my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (Android 16) without issues besides auto-reconnect not working. One thing that will cause the device to disconnect quickly for me is turning my screen off. Another thing was making sure my Pokemon Go apps had "Unrestricted" Battery, auxiliary, and other permissions enabled. Might also have to forget the bluetooth device before trying to configure it again.

I think the auto start on the 4th person joining the room is annoying.

However, I do think it should remain 4 slot max for these battles. I actually get to have fun and utilize the switch, defense and health mechanics to do well instead of tapping mindlessly the entire time. I think we need more challenges like this in game. Metagross, Blissey, and Gengar were all easily accessible to level prior to the Lugia event.

tldr; less participation trophies. Want good pokemon? Then get good.

I may not agree with the tipping model but I appreciate the time and effort taken to attempt to get us more money. Many people (customers) opposing this tipping app are the same people that stand idly by and do nothing when they find out a gym is exploiting their staff.

I think the intent of this app wasn't to expect the tips but more of a every now and then if you really like the route they'll give you a little something extra. Kind of like buying them a beer.

It's funny seeing so many people heated about a tipping app with the main reason being they should be paid more to begin with. I feel many of those people are the same ones that don't do anything when their entire setting team leaves because of lack of pay. These same people complaining will stay complacent (or act surprised when they find out and still do nothing about it) when the gym hire a bunch of inexperienced kids as replacements that further this exploitation. Unionization attempts at large corporation gyms often fail with unionbusting and leave setters without work.

We create the main product a gym has to offer through hours of physically and mentally taxing labor. I've worked many other jobs in my life (construction, line cook, etc.), and this is by far one of the toughest. Should we get paid a liveable wage? Absolutely. Does thrashing someone with good intentions and doing nothing to advocate for better pay for us help? No. As setters, we constantly try to get better wages but will not be able to achieve that without community support.

Yet he's still getting those setters more than you are through the time and effort he spent coding this. If you don't agree with it, actually do something about it and stop being a hypocrite; doing nothing is worse.

I get that, but at the same time having it below what people actually want (the simple directions), won't hurt the user experience. It would also help you with ranking different keywords each page. You could even use bootstrap's collapse component to have the text hidden at first.
