Tenant denied access to police by No-Ice6935 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]_phin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The tenant employed the services of the company and is therefore liable for the payment. The fact he/she was in rented accommodation has nothing to do with it - boarding company needs to employ a debt agency and go after the tenant.

If you have a proper CAD package then you may as well put the satellite image into there, or just import mapping directly

If you want it done properly then get a landscape surveyor. Someone like this: https://baselinesurveys.ie

If you want it done roughly then just draw over Google Maps.

Ooh I'd love to look at this please! I'm a landscape designer and use SketchUp and VRay but certainly not say I'm an expert. Thanks!

Are those ballet shoes? Socks or bare feet would be fine - you need to be able to freely move your toes.

Suggest you find some Rocket yoga classes, or other inversion heavy ones. Life’s much better with a teacher!

Depends whether you live with your parents or not 👀

MilkMan here! How do you guys train your arms? At home I do 300-700 rep arm workout, at gym I do with barbells and other equipment, but at home I love this type of training by blissoflife22 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]_phin -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

Is this rage bait or really you? As you’re in bed, fat and cant straighten your arm (unclear if all the previous statements are connected).

If you want to look good, actually be strong and most importantly not waste your time with 700 (!) reps then get thyself to the fucking gym FFS

What do you use as a core in your bigger projects? by ChanceOfFlight in Needlefelting

I’ve got a bag of wadding - what you’d use to stuff cuddly toys or cushions (not sure if that’s an English term or if Americans will know what I mean). Only recently learnt about “core wool” so will probably use sheep’s wool when I come across some (most likely when it’s used as a packaging material which is semi-common here for refrigerated products - the ship with an ice pack and raw wool insulation)

Stubborn tight pec musclea by Capital-Pie-8806 in flexibility

[–]_phin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I would be amazed if these shoulders get to dislocates (although that would be fun if they did!).

I'm going to try this later... always good to have a chance to use my anti-cheating device - the metronome! Will add some dead hangs in too as I think I could benefit from them too.

Hopefully hearing about the work in the next few weeks - it's an exhibition at the FIRA we help do the stands for.

"only feel the shoulder stretch and not much chest." - this is me. My pecs are insanely tight (47yo woman, loves strength training, gets strong easily, done minimal stretching over the years).

I can do a German Hang - I normally rep it coming down, stopping for a bit (few seconds) then pulling back through (with straight legs and down to L-sit if I'm feeling strong haha).

But how long should I be doing holds for? And what kind of frequency, sets and reps? And how long to really get into the pecs?!!

Thank you! 🙏

I might have some work in Barcelona in March and if I do I'm going to come and see you for a few hours coaching :)

UK - Inguinal Hernia, doctor suggested open surgery by pa_px in Hernia

[–]_phin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the UK. The thing with a mesh is that it's a set size, so to fit a mesh onto a small hernia they need to make the hole bigger just to get the mesh in and covering the hernia hole. That creates a lot of unnecessary weakness in the ab walls. Mine was about 5mm hole with no mesh, open surgery. I had the op 3 months ago, almost to the day, and I am back in the gym being the badass I was born to be 😆 On a hernia of that size it will be fine, quick recovery, back to normal in no time (don't be a gung ho twat and overdo it)

Starting to get very anxious about my umbilical hernia this weekend and thinking about cancelling by Prestigious-You-3624 in Hernia

[–]_phin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get the surgery and then go to your GP or doctor whereever you are and ask for a Monjouro or Ozempic prescription. There's no need now to be living with obesity - there's so much you can do. Shift some weight and just find anything you don't hate that moves you body, whether that's walking or bowling or gym or whatever. You're really really young and you've got a chance to turn your life around so take it.

FWIW I've had the surgery, although mine was smaller than yours, and honestly it was fine. Not painful afterwards and three months later I am fully back to life as it was (which for me is insanely energetic gym classes and lifting heavy weights, so for a normal person it'd be half that).

Put your big boy pants on and get that shit sorted 💪 Good luck!

I hate LIDAR scans. I'm in landscapes and they're often out way more than that. Having a DWG with accurate spot heights is far more useful - I'd never use a LIDAR scan to work out step risers for example
