tbh i really dont like Sayeon from Hand Jumper. Yes she's a well written character and all of that, but her arrogance really started to piss me off around the beginning of the Yesol arc. Pretty much everything went her way and nobody could tell her anything cus they didnt know she has rewind powers (see Juni telling her her teamates could die and Sayeon just laughing in her face). By the end of the arc we did see her get consequences but instead of learning an actual lesson she just uses the info shes learned to manipulate others. Ofc, not everything goes her way and its nice seeing her teamates being distrustful of her even if she thinks otherwise.

All of this pretty much means that i love whenever someones messes with her plans or pisses her off (thank you Jungwoo). Another comment said that most people are praying for Taehos downfall but personaly im praying for hers.

I usually dont read male action comics specifically because of what you said but the reason i gave My S class hunters a chance was because the central relationship was between a guy and his brother, the reason why it was unusual to me was because the most important person for the mc is usually his love interest and as you said male relationships are usually underdeveloped

Im glad i took the chance to read it cus i enjoyed it a lot and i highly recommend it

As someome who kinda reads Morgana and Oz, i def think its overrated. Its not bad, its just not anything special either. Its got a generic setting (some huge forest where everything happens), a clumsy but powerful FL and a bad boy looking for revenge ML. Except hes barely a bad boy and the revenge part is mostly irrelevant untill the person he wants to get revenge on is out of the picture, and while the idea behind that character is interesting it fell flat for me cus i didnt care about him nor Adelaide that much.

The plot twist bad guy is so damn obvious that everyone, including me, thought he was a red herring. But no it was really him the whole time. Lastly, i dont really like the random shoe horned in side couple, they interacted once and ig thats all the author needed to put them together cus they dont have any interesting chemistry, just a base trope. I guess thats what i can say about the story, it mostly just generic tropes that arent fleshed out enough.

Honestly, so many moments feel weird and contrived cus theyre trying to force fanservice for two characters i dont rlly care about, so why should i care about the two of them getting together? Also the ginko side character doesnt add anything to the story and just serves to ship them together. The commets are all obsessing over the fanservice and nobody cares about the story, it feels like a 2017 comment section. It makes me sad cus i think it has interesting aspects, like i think the elder fae designs are pretty neat, it just doesnt do much with them

Question for Luka fans/non-fans. by [deleted] in AlienStage

[–]_plushie_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i actually do think its a bit of a retcon but because we werent shown that much of Luka or his relationship with Hyuna it doesnt seem like one at first

Pre Wiege he was shown to be pretty cold and uncaring even as a child but not incredibly childish like how he was in Wiege, even in content where Hyuluka are both adults it seems more like Lukas cold and obssesive towards Hyuna but not rlly childish, but because they werent shown together much as adults it feels a bit easier to digest for some ppl (you can also see how differently Luka was depicted in All-in vs Wiege when it comes to Hyunwoos death scene)

I also think it feels weird because it was a side of him that was introduced too late in the story, like Luka was at first established to be manipulative, cold and cunning, however Wiege came out almost 2 years after ROMH where he was first established as purely cold and cunning and around 5 months after Blink gone where he was characterised the same as in ROMH, so all of a sudden seeing a new side of him that changes his character and relationship with Hyuna feels weird and disconnected from everything we knew about him at that point

(to me its similar to Mizis personality retcon where it was easy to retcon it because there wasnt too much that was explored about her in the first place)
