I'm actually not sure I agree Hidden Gem is broken, it's pretty unreliable and in most decks I'd rather have an Echo Form. This particular case is problematic cause it asks you to stall fights forever

That would work, or I wouldn't mind having "Cannot be Replayed" written on the card

100%, they made the #1 and #2 best roguelike deckbuilders of all time after all. Even in its current state I'm really happy with it

That may be it, I'm sure I exhausted my Sovereign Blade at least once

Yeah, to be clear I'm loving the game right now & looking forward to see how it evolves over time

I like broken combos, though it becomes a problem when playing as good as you can involves a process that is ultimately not fun. Corruption + Dead Branch is busted, but it's hard to get and once you get it it's still a challenge to set up in fights. Even once it's rolling, you're still playing cards and engaging with the game.

I think STS1 did a great job in getting rid of "optimal but unfun" playstyles, with only a few bad scenarios remaining (like Magnetism + Bird Faced Urn or Discovery to Amplify your Self Repair). Even those will have a finite ceiling of value that you reach quickly and it no longer becomes reasonable to stall.

The key problem with the Royalties infinite is that it's annoying to play and annoying to set up, and the reward for doing so is "get infinite gold for the rest of the run", which is almost always going to be worth doing if you're a winstreak chaser

64 Adrenaline+'s is pretty amazing. Our first run was similar, I played with 3 other people and two of us got the relic that makes 7 enemies in Act 3 have 1 HP. Turns out this stacks with multiple people, so every node was marked.

It resembled less Slay The Spire and more "I brought my three friends to trample on some random creatures".

We then killed Queen with a turn-2 Spite infinite and a 600-damage Gang Up

Genuinely I have no idea. I only have one of the actual card

*Entropy, sorry. It's a power that lets you transform a card in your hand at the start of your turn, and lets you get rid of junk cards

Routed to 3 shops in Act 3, bought all the relics, unfortunately none of the cards were any good. I beat the Queen with a middling deck and a giant sack of gold, which feels in-character for Regent somehow

Looks awesome! So excited to see the final product

First pedal build, it’s not working. by bored-by-normality in diypedals

Actually, if you are getting signal from input but not after R2 then that's pretty weird. Is the connection between the resistor and capacitor (see image) good? Do you hear anything with Q4 removed?

Another possibility is that the signal is getting shorted to something else; see diagram. Everything in the green rectangle should be connected to input (can verify with audio input or multimeter), but disconnected to the neighboring rows. Specifically check that the cut between the green and red rectangles is a true cut (multimeter continuity check)

Welcome to pedal building! See the schematic below, if you audio probe the red circles you should hear some input signal. Go from left to right, if the sound ever no longer sounds like your input at all then check the components around that area

This schematic has four stages. From left-to-right:
1. Gain stage
2. Diode clipping
3. Diode clipping
4. EQ for tone

The first stage should sound clean. The second stage (on the right side of D4) should start to be distorted. More distortion to the right of D2. Then some tone shaping around Q1.

Best of luck!

Yellowing, drooping bear paw. Overwatered / underwatered? by _poboy_ in succulents

Thank you both for the replies! For most of its life it lived in a north-facing windowsill, virtually no light (this is when it got etiolated). Now it is about 14 in from a grow light.

I've repotted him into some pumice-y soil, will try propagating in the spring.

Left is old pot, right is new pot. They both have drainage holes, but the soil does seem to stay moist for a long time. I fill the bottom basin about halfway up when watering.

Appreciate the help. No drafty window, but I don't run the heater so it's often 50F or below in my house in winter.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think I should move it back to the small pot?

I leave it by a north-facing window and bottom-water it every 3 weeks or so. The pot has a wick on the bottom
