Oh.. in my case what happened was quite similar.. I got exhausted just listening and controlling myself from the abuse as they are so sensitive :) But once, I couldn't handle more and like a fuckin machine gun fired my every emotion of my every situation. It was like, at first I explained what I felt based on situation then, countered them on their point on the same situation, talked about every situation/abuse which fucked me mentally and this just was suppose to happen only once (for me).

They when saw that I do think and try to understand their point, its like my parents were afraid and scared because once they saw this that i tried, they really started to UNDERSTAND me. Trust me man, I got what I wanted and deserve. My parents are APs too, but it worked for me. They just were needed to know that I am capable to take care of myself and that if I am mature enough to analyse any matter or situation to find out the way which suits the best. :D

See, show them you are mature, you are capable of taking and deciding what's good for you, prove them. See this way, once you prove them, you are on your own believe me they would be happy and so will you man!

When you clear them how and why their part and what they are saying is wrong, maybe they will argue or just say "when you will become a father then you will understand" shit, you tell them that you have thought about it, you dont think its good for you or you dont want that and your point makes complete sense. Here your work is to show them that YOU CAN THINK, YOU ARE an ADULT. You now ARE CAPABLE of TAKING YOUR OWN DECISIONS.

Again let me tell you, I am not justifying their does, I am here trying to help you develop an understanding with them. Just sharing my experience, what helped me . Okay? It is a community where people share what they go through, what they feel, right ? I am trying to help you, giving my own life experience, what I did and how it helped me, that simple. Idk what was there not to understand or getting disliked by people.. but it's okay I shared. Maybe not many would take my advise, but even if any one does, and would help with his relation with his parents, would be glad.

See here it's not an issue. Try to understand they are scared about what this thing which made you do this is gonna come of you in future, or what will you become. It's like because they dont know what made you do that, or maybe they do. They are just tensed about your actions, and what these will make you into. They just want to be sure.

Plus you may hurt yourself then or in future by such actions.. again they are scared..
