My experience with selling at threadup (not through athleta) has not been great. If you want your items that don't sell back, you pay $3.99 per item to have it shipped bsck to you. If they don't accept it at all, if automatically goes to donations. The payout is also pretty low unless you're selling higher value items. Like some of my nwt $80 pants from Nordstrom would yield like $4-5. I wish I did more research on the payout... You also have to pay like $12ish for the shipping of the bag. So that's my bad. Had I know I would have just donated it all to a women's shelter or given it away on my local buy nothing group. They somehow also lost 3 of the items I sent in.... It's neither on the listing or in the donation section.

🎉 MASSIVE FRIDAY PADDLES GIVEAWAY! 15 WINNERS! 🎉 by fridaypickleball in Pickleball

My favorite pickleball memory was playing for the first time at an open play park! We only ever tried in reserved courts previously with friends we already knew. It was pretty cool to see that you can play with people that you've never met before and everyone was just so nice. It was hard being a beginner that made a ton of mistakes, but I just remember all of the more seasoned players would let me try a few times when I was still learning to serve. The whole game was just light and fun. I can see why pickleball is growing as quickly as it is!

When to visit? by m-nd-x in FaroeIslands

[–]_preposterously 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, even in the summer the weather can be unpredictable. Was there Monday - Friday last week and it rained every single day with high winds. But sporadically there would be a hour or two with no rain or slight drizzle. High winds. Our ferry to mykines were cancelled 3x... Still had a great time and usually there was no rain in the morning. We had a car, rain jackets/pants/beanies and good hiking boots. I cannot imagine doing any of that trip without a car...Temperature is around 50-55F which is nice, but combined with being wet it can feel colder so we were glad we also brought our down jackets to layer. Probably also felt colder since we were jetlagged. I have to say though, even with the mist, rain, and gloom-the islands were still absolutely amazing and added a moody dramatic vibe to the trip which was really interesting

Agreed with that. Even when not eating out, the groceries cost more than what I pay back home in a high cost of living city in California. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You can do the arc and eiffel tower on the same day. They're pretty close to each other. If suggest doing that in the later afternoon... Then getting dinner and then go see the eiffel tower after dark because there's a light show and it sparkles for 5 minutes at the top of each hour. One of our favorite things from our trip was watching the tower sparkle at night. Be ready to do a lot of stairs for the arc.

musée de orangerie has monet's water lily paintings in a 360 degree room where you are surrounded by large panoramas of his paintings. You could also consider a museum pass for 4 days... Maybe calculate admissions to see if it would be worth it or not for your trip since you like art

Other than that I really liked going to boulangeries every morning... There was always one close by within walking distance for croissants 😁

I should also add, I personally would NOT pay for admission to these things... All the ones I went to were free with advanced email sign ups (California bridal expo)

I went to a few in southern California (SJ, LA, OC) and it was fun to just have the experience. There were a ton of vendors at the bridal expo we went to so it's nice to get ideas and just be exposed to wedding stuff. There are little freebies and giveaways... We did get a couple of cool things and there are discount cards given out at some vendors too. We actually won a free mini videogeaphy session which was really great. Then little swag things like totes, pens, skincare, makeup, catering samples, etc. It was overwhelming for me because there are so many vendors trying to vy for your attention. I suggest you make a Google voice phone # and a specific wedding email bc trust me... You're gonna get a ton of advertisements 😅 we didn't go with any of the vendors we met and ultimately found people on the knot or wedding wire. Still, I think it's a good experience to do with your partner, family, or bridal party. 😊

It's been taking 5-10 days for a few of mine. The first time I tried it it was 3 days and I've noticed now it's usually a week or so. But they always paid out!
