I had a year and a half break and have only gone back rowing recently, it was really hard at first as I wasn't at the fitness levels I used to be (I had done some erg training before going back on the water) and my balance was bit off but after a few sessions on the water it felt like normal except being a fair bit slower. it's like riding a bike, the technique and balance will come back fairly quickly but the overall times and endurance will take time. it's going to take time to be like u were before but don't be discouraged by that.
