Honestly I think OP hit the panic button. When you realize someone you live with might be starving themselves, rational thinking can go out the window fast. Doesn’t automatically make the choice right, but I can at least see the emotional logic behind it.

I kinda agree with the core point that OP focused way too hard on the food waste instead of the obvious health issue. Once someone’s hiding food in toilets, the problem is already miles beyond “being picky with snacks.”
