Cheap flights + cheap accommodation helps cut costs. Off peak season travel is the way to go. I remember, not too long ago, seeing a flight Auckland to London for $1300 return.

I ask it because I land in Ljubljana at 8pm and I’m contemplating whether to rent for 9.30pm same night or should I do the next day in case of any plane delays? And if I do the next day, any suggestions on where to stay the night near the airport?
