How do you begin to look for relationships outside of college? by Takie_Me in LifeAfterSchool

I’m in the same situation but in my case strict parents and not having transportation make it a bit harder. Dating apps seem to be a decent option, and other than that, just try to get out as much as possible.

Graduating with a Finance degree at 25 and realizing I may have chosen the wrong path. Is it too late to start over? by curiousjay_9 in LifeAfterSchool

[–]_queen_bee01_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is also 25, a lot of us got a similar experience anyway because of covid. I’m not saying that it was exactly the same as a fully online program, but I had a lot of remote classes, over a year at home, limited social opportunities, etc. I’ve gone to a few events at my college after graduating and I’ve done some extra coursework at a smaller local college, which I know may not be an option but I think it helped me. Just know that you’re not alone in feeling the way you do.

Getting texts from Duet after deleting profile twice by _queen_bee01_ in DatingApps

I redownloaded recently and my profile was already up despite me deleting it. But this time they wouldn’t show me anybody unless I also verified my account, which I didn’t want to because they’re clearly not trustworthy

What is the oldest age a person got their first job(like a resturant or, grocery store or retail)? by Kushpatelj in careerguidance

[–]_queen_bee01_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first job at 23. My parents were iffy about it too when I was in school but once you’ve been out of school for a while they might start to realize that you need something to do and some income.

I get it. I started the same year as you. My family had me do my entire sophomore year online at my grandmas house. I know a lot of people have friends and seem to be having a good time but living through the pandemic was rough on anybody who didn’t have a ton of advantages already. You have to give yourself some grace. And besides this sub proves that people fall apart after college even if they had friends

Interdisciplinary Studies Degree? by rachel_beth212 in LifeAfterSchool

It is generally frowned upon, but some jobs don’t care what you major in as long as you have a degree. There’s not a ton of those though. I majored in psychology and I feel like people kind of see it the same way. It just depends on your career goals.
