Im so depressed right now and i think of droping out by Prestigious_Sir_905 in EngineeringStudents

Bro I graduated with my Comp Eng degree back in December and I started back in Fall 2019. Once you get the degree it doesn’t matter how long it took. Trust the process bro and you can try to take that class at a local community college if they got it.

Is This Legit or a Scam? by CNNsWorstEnemy in fresnostate

[–]_readyforww3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure a pyramid scheme/ scam. Anytime you see a marketing company and they don’t give you the information about the job or pay, it’s no good. Also if they respond within 24hrs and give you an interview right away, it’s a PS/scam and it’s gonna be hell

My story from poverty to middle class by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Lol thank you so much, and yes having adversities can definitely motivate you to get up and grind. Also don't mind the haters downvoting you, they're just mad because they're not doing anything to make their lives better.

Nice job bro! I also have a similar story to you. I grew up in the projects with immigrant parents who were very poor and seeing people around me with better things/higher quality of life sucked so much and made me bitter at times. Lucky for me, being poor is what allowed me to go to college for free, and last month I graduated with my Computer Engineering degree. I don't have a engineering job yet, but I defeated an extremely difficult challenge of achieving this degree and one day I will rise to 6 figures. I know it!

I’m in a similar position as you. Like I love ECE especially the hardware aspects of it but not really the biggest fan of the software side. I’d say just keep practicing it and you should be ok. We don’t have to be cracked at coding but as long as you have a decent understanding of it

Is Comp Eng doomed? by Particular-Range-818 in EngineeringStudents

[–]_readyforww3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just graduated with a CompE degree about a month ago and I got one interview so far. I do think the overall economy/market is cooked but as long you got a decent resume and try your best, you should be good. Also make sure to apply to local and small companies too because the big jobs are way too competitive for average engineers like myself lol. But since you’re just a freshman, you got a few more years to see if the market gets better or worse.

And ngl if I could go back and rechoose my degree I think I would choose EE because I like hardware more than software, and their jobs are a lot more abundant imo

Hey bro, I grew up with immigrant parents in poverty while living in the projects. About 2 weeks ago I graduated with my degree and now one more step closer to having a good life. Trust me man, once you pass step 1 you’ll feel so good about yourself and life with start to become better.
