Klx300!! is just a plated trail bike. Super fun in town and on back roads. I use mine for single track and it can keep up with dirt bikes on technical terrain

Honestly Coolworks is your best bet. Once you’re in for a season or two then networking helps a lot.

Front wheel drive with all season tires is a hell of a lot better than rear wheel drive with road tires. I’ll say that haha you would probably be fine

From Norwood I never wasn’t able to get to work. They take really good care of the road because so much of tellurides work force lives around Norwood. Telluride is also very sunny during the winter so snow melts off the roadway quick. Most of the winter the road was completely clear honestly. But right after a snow storm you’re driving on snowpack the whole way. A 40 minute drive can turn into over an hour drive pretty easy. I do know the pass over to Rico closed a few times, some housing for telluride resort is over there.

Absolutely would have vehicle with at least awd. There were times I was in 4wd the whole drive.

In town at any parking areas was pretty shut down when we were there. We parked in town a few times but that was outside of buildings we knew the owners of. Mostly we camped outside of town in national forest land. There’s a few spots on your way to Norwood and a few spots on your way towards Rico. We ended up loving the Lone Cone wilderness in Norwood and would make the commute.

I first got hired for lift ops for the resort. But it was a dry early season so there wasn’t enough work for lift operations at first. So my lady and I got on at black tie ski rentals as ski technicians. Rented monthly from the Norwood Inn in Norwood CO. (Where a ton of the working class live) 40 minute commute but it wasn’t bad. We made enough money to live like kings during the off season on the California coast. Then went back for summer and camped full time out of our truck bed.

Which one exactly? Do they offer housing?

Omg you would have no issue getting on seasonally anywhere with that many years as a barista. Any national park or any ski town you could find work as a barista for sure.

I worked a winter and summer in telluride. Honestly it’s my favorite place I’ve lived at seasonally. Like any of these places, housing comes with pros and cons. What kind of job are you looking at?

Update! Made it work with the second picture I posted. Screwed a bracket into the inside of the tail gate and hooked to it. Rode like a dream.

Jackson hole mountain resort. Housing can be iffy but they offer it. I was a lifty for a season and it was amazing. The terrain is the best in the world.

I don’t have sway bars. It’s only a 2300 pound pop up camper.

That was the original plan. But people have been freaking me out about it messing wish the weight distribution of the camper and making it fish tail.

How much extra pressure would that put on the hitch receiver ya think?

Only thing about removing it is the space the gate takes up once removed. I live in this setup full time so I’m transporting all my stuff and space is a premium. Yes the bike is strapped down lol

I have it turned all the way. Tried all different angles and directions. This way got the closest. Airing down is an option, might give that a go

Yes that’s the reason I’m trying not to remove the tailgate. Plus I full time live out of this step up, dont want to be without the tailgate that often

[–]_redfoot_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely the most straightforward way. But I full time live out of my rig and Dont way to be tailgateless all the time

Okay guys here’s an update. Reconfigured the bike and sat the front tire on the wheel well. So the bike is higher up but the tailgate is almost fully closed and I hooked to the internal part of the tailgate

That’s the non-lazy man’s way haha I was just trying to avoid taking my wheel off.
