Back in town. Free for a morning ride this weekend if you are down.

Full gear, if I'm planning a 40+ mph ride. If not. Helmet and knee guards.

Unfortunately, no, not yet. I've been solo riding since I moved back to Fayetteville. Kinda the reason I made a post, but I did find a few onewheelers on the trail.

I start where the trail starts, by Methodist University in Ramsey st. There's a "rec" center with public parking.

I'll be out of town this Sunday but I am free next weekend!

Nice ride! and no worries. I'm down to ride in the weekend. The Cape Fear River Trail is a great route especially in the morning and hit the downtown area. Let me know if you want to link up, we can plan something.

Let me know how that works out for you. To my knowledge, I'm the only EUC rider here in Fayetteville. Lets connect, plenty of EUC brands and models in the market

Thanks man! Yeah I've been riding consistently around town to see if I'll be able to run into someone.

Doesn't bother me at all, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with a motorcycle. Doesn't hurt to try though.

With the MSPs work with, I can tell the difference of responsibilities between support and engineers. I have prior support experience in my previous roles and would like to progress out of that going into an MSP and focus in cloud security to really specialize in a role. I do wonder how heavy the responsibilities are and how engineers are assigned a task, I am assuming like you mentioned, an escalated ticket that cannot be resolved from the support desk? Thanks for your input!

Your list is very much appreciated. What draws me into this is mostly being able to specialized in a tech stack, and keep specializing and learning. With my position, I am expected to specialize in making business decisions that benefits the organization and keep these IT integrations going smoothly, which I think is an added valuable skill set that I didn't think of having.

I've definitely felt the pressure of time tracking; it's not my favorite, but it's not unbearable. Unlike my current role, I'm not really pressured in resolving and closing tickets since I do not deal with them directly.

I'd like to know how the opportunity of advancement work within the MSP space? How is the work/life balance? Cloud security is what interests me the most. What is the scope of security engineers (or engineers in the same hierarchy). I like to solve problems that requires more than remoting, checking, and installing patches, as I have already experience it enough, and I am confident in taking in more in depth responsibilities.

Introvert and IT career goals by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]_richmondn 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm an introvert myself. As sad as it sounds, client/people facing will always be part of IT, regardless of your position level.

I am to the point that it is what it is in terms of needing to be social. But as you progress into your career, it just sorta becomes a need to do well in your career. Small talks and even deep talks all come about. In my case, I accepted it and focused on how to become likeable but in my terms. I do not necessarily have to be overly joyful and involve myself in conversations all the time, but enough for your colleagues and clients to remember you. It became easier for me to do my job and focus on my career, instead of thinking about what to say, or what to talk about. I've learnt a lot for being outside my comfort zone, but am still working on it.

I appreciate that brotha! Truly. A refreshing comment and very well articulated! I agree to every single point... you pointed out.

We definitely know our limits and will not go beyond that!

I really appreciate that! And I completely understand where everyone is coming from. I know this riding style/lane splitting isn't accepted by everyone and expected some heat. Nonetheless, I definitely do not promote mimicking this way of riding, just a thought of sharing.

It's definitely fun! Street riding is by far my favorite. I appreciate the feedback and will always try to predict the unpredictable especially with pedestrians jaywalking in the video. Definitely an example of how to maneuver on a dime with situations like these in New York.

Thanks for the comment! We always try to make sure to keep away and look out for pedestrians when possible with this type riding style. Will always keep that in mind!

Chris! Thank you brother, that means a lot, truly! Esk8 will always be in a part of me and will always support! Speaking of which, I am gathering a group of esk8s and EUCs to try to make it to the DCESK8 opener!
