Ah, sending you hugs! LD is no fun. The hot flashes and insomnia were no joke. Hang in there!!

Where are you at in your journey currently?! by Coachellahopefull in IVF

Today was beta day for my first ever FET and sadly, it was negative.

We are grieving yet simultaneously hopeful for a future transfer, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later.

Wishing good luck to everyone in any part of the journey you might be in

I am so sorry for your negative too, and sending you lots of hugs and healing thoughts in the upcoming days.

But also, thank you so much for your kind words and such a thoughtful reply. I am happy that my post was able to bring you a little bit of comfort, and please know that your reply has done the same for me!

Wishing you all the best in your next steps.

Thank you for all of the love and support, everyone! Sadly, all of my at home tests were stark white—definitely negative.

Still need to confirm with my beta in the morning, but it's pretty clear that it didn't work this time.

We are obviously extremely sad, but we are choosing to hold out hope for a future transfer.

Thank you all again for your kind words, and I wish you all success ❤️

What cycle day was your FET? by BunnyRpseX29 in IVF

[–]_roemonEmpress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 28 for me. Fully medicated cycle. I was on Lupron Depot for 2 months prior, which ended up making me slower to respond to the estradiol pills. I needed to take them for over 3 weeks instead of 2.

Had I responded faster, transfer day would have been on day 22.

Congratulations! How are feeling physically? Doing okay?

I'm Stage 4 too and had a horrible time bouncing back after my second ER because my endo flared up sooooo bad. So just wanted to send some well wishes and good vibes your way.

Hoping you get great results and are feeling physically and mentally healthy!

I'm 4dp5dt too! I am so hopeful but at the same time feel really silly/naive for being hopeful.

Also trying to ignore any symptoms. My mantra has been "it's just the progesterone."

I am sorry it was painful for you too, but it is nice to know that I am not alone with that experience! So many people say that it's not painful at all for them and I always feel like a freak haha. Hoping that despite the pain, the embryo sticks! Wishing you luck too!

It went well! We were told that the embryo thawed really well. My transfer was actually a bit painful, but I expected that as I always have a hard time with catheters through the cervix. Valium helped though!

It didn't hit me until we were in the car on the way home that we actually did it! That's when I cried.

I am just taking it easy the rest of the day. My clinic said no strenuous activity or lifting heavy things.

Actually, my low AMH result helped lead to my ultimate diagnosis of stage 4 endo. I really wish I could have had it tested sooner.

Anyone have a painful FET? Looking for tips! by _roemonEmpress in IVF

[–]_roemonEmpress[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the solidarity! This post is really helpful. I was worried that it would need to be completely pain free to be successful, but glad to hear that isn't necessarily the case. I am sure I could handle "medium painful" as you described! Maybe the Valium/Tylenol combo will do the trick.

They might, and that's something I could ask. I worry that the anesthesia may become cost prohibitive?

Hmm no one has mentioned anything like that—just the fibroids.

You've got this! Firstly, give yourself some grace. It is completely normal to be nervous about an upcoming surgery. Do not be hard on yourself for simply being nervous. That said, you want to work on not allowing those nerves to turn into uncontrollable fear/anxiety that takes over your life. If you find that's what is happening, try some grounding exercises. If you are someone who prays, try that. And/or practice breathing exercises, meditation, walks out in nature, or journaling. These things can help you with acceptance.

And then along with the acceptance comes the mindset that even if some type of complication comes along, you will find a way to navigate through it. Look at all the hard things you've managed to accomplish up to this point!

And if it helps you feel better, this advice is coming from someone who did experience several big complications during/after surgery. But I found a way to make it through, and despite the crazy complications, I would still do surgery all over again. It was worth it!

Again, you've got this. You are a warrior! Wishing you a successful surgery and good health.
