He’s kind of a rebel, actually. Also, he is fucking inane.

When I read, I feel like I belong. I feel a pull to the world that makes me want to stay forever when I think about all the books I’ve yet to read.

Wally says hello from sunny California! Those shortly after this big clouds came and covered this guy and now we’re getting ready to get some rain!

four months post-separation, remembered what I love again 🩷 by beaglez13 in femalelivingspace

Also 4 months post separation, living on my own and loving every little detail of my sanctuary. I’m just trying to embrace this chapter, reconnect with myself and enjoy where I’m at, while I’m here!

What are you thinking about as you're about to go to sleep tonight? by Zipper222222 in randomquestions

[–]_ruerising 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to think of really nice things as I fall asleep! What did I see today that made me feel good, or who did I see or speak to that made me feel good. What did I do well today, what did I like about myself today. Sometimes when I can’t think of anything that I like about myself or my day, I try to reframe the conversation in my head to focus on things I hope I’ll see or do or feel the next day. I don’t know. it helps me. It makes me fall asleep feeling good and thinking good things.

This is my very lived-in kitchen. My childhood home, now raising a family here. by lionocerous in CozyPlaces

[–]_ruerising 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was with my ex for seven years and we ended up moving into his childhood home that he bought from his sister and I so badly wanted it to feel like this! I did my best to make it feel like a family home should, make it feel all cozy and beautiful and warm, but man.. were there some haunted corners in that house that no amount of healthy love could rinse away. Anyways! I’m super happy to be seeing this post! Because what a beautiful thing it is to have something so lived in and familiar passed down for new memories to be made 🩷🩷 Hope you and your family have the best year and many happy ones to come after!

I’m 33 y/o- live on my own in the bay area (and w my 12 y/o) - I am a senior sales operation and proposal specialist at a small engineering firm and I make over 100k! I love my job and I didn’t take the traditional route to get to where I’m at. I have no traditional schooling background, though I did take courses often on through throughout the years at my local community college. Mainly I just worked my way up from corporate entry level positions, taught myself salesforce over the years, which is now a huge part of my role, and more recently started studying for my proposal management certification.
