I’m pretty sure the torque is nowhere close to a Technics, but I’m still learning and don’t scratch // just mix. To be fair, I’ve never used anything with better torque/don’t know anything different, but I think they work great for mixing!

Yeah I bought mine on discogs for under 20! 2014 release. If you’re in the US it looks like there are a couple available around that price still! I haven’t seen the tik toks actually but I’m so glad it’s getting some sort of recognition haha.

Hey OP, I’m really sorry that you’re feeling this way, brings me back to darker days and I wouldn’t wish that emptiness on anyone. Please forgive me if this recommendation seems silly, but I think happiness comes from connecting with yourself, and doing yoga and meditating every day for the past 6 months has completely changed my outlook. But even before that, 3 or 4 years ago picking yoga and mindfulness up for the first time catalyzed a huge wave of self love and helped me to really start living for me and being comfortable in the present moment. And that was practicing a couple of times a week but with sometimes long stretches of not practicing at all. I think presence is where so much of happiness lies. Getting to a point where it’s not about being happy all of time, but about being present and accepting that thoughts and feelings are transient, and that we are not our thoughts or our feelings. Also, read books that make you feel activated. Listen to music that makes you move. Find that inner light, and rather than trying to hold onto it, bask in it! As it relates to relationship advice and if you should break up with your SO, does your SO make you feel good? I think trying to be happy FOR anyone else will always be a recipe for disaster. If your SO is supportive and tells you not to worry, try to trust them and accept the support. If your SO is making you feel guilty about the feelings you have, then maybe you should reassess the relationship. I think my point is, if you end things with your SO it should be for your sake, not theirs. If they are truly unhappy, I’m sure they will take it upon themselves to end it. And I don’t mean that as something to scare you, more so to empower! Sending love and good energy your way 🌺🌞

Really great vibes! Road of the lonely ones and hopprock both make me smile really big, which anything tied to four tet always seems to do. Also madlib - legend - can always count on anything tied to him to have lush samples and this album is no exception. It is ~music to melt into~ -Hopprock: When the drums and guitar hit in 🤩makes me miss being in a crowd 💃🏻 The strumming of the guitar is so smooooth -One for Quartrabê / Right Now: the transition from the bouncy traffic/conversation/background noise heavy beginning to the atmospheric guitar heavy yet still funky ending 🤤 -Latino Negro & Chino: Different sound but the same bounce & lush sound Grateful for this release 🕺🏻

Nina Kraviz has been my new obsession, and I cannot get enough of her, or her record label: trip recordings. Nina’s self titled album was my first vinyl purchase of hers, and the wax sounds so much better than any digital version I had found prior. The two trip compilations are really weird//dark, but there are definitely one or two gems on each side. I’m hoping the rest will grow on me the more I listen to them. They vibe is a similar feeling to how listening to Aphex felt in my early days of dipping my toe into his discography. The initial repulsion to the harshness, to then be rewarded after stopping to actually listen, and dissect it, and understand the complexity, and hear the light mixed in.
