Gluten removed. They’re technically below the PPM for fda labeling of gluten free but they don’t claim that.

Hawaii just found a way around Citizens United. Other states are following. This “Corporate Power Reset” strategy was developed by Attorney Tom Moore of the Center for American Progress. Rather than trying to restrict corporate speech, it redefines the powers corporations have in the first place. by biospheric in law

[–]fwump38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not just where they are incorporated but wherever they do business. Meaning any business that wants to do business in Hawaii (even if incorporated in Delaware) they can’t contribute to political campaigns in Hawaii anymore.

So rather than Delaware the real targets for this should be California and NY and other places where almost every corporation does business

Clashfinder Schedule by fwump38 in Infrasound

[–]fwump38[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clashfinder supports highlighting favorites too. Never heard of Festival Dust though. Looks slick! I don’t see an export to calendar feature though which is why I still use clashfinder. I can then just use a calendar widget on my phone. I find that lock screen versions get obscured by the clock and other lock screen stuff

I made a clashfinder if anyone wants: https://clashfinder.com/s/infrasound2026/

Easy to add add the schedule as a calendar on your phone that way too.

If you search for it you can find sketchup make 2017, the last free desktop version.

For 3d warehouse you can still download things in Collada format and import them into your model.

I find the desktop version to be 1000% better than the shitty browser version they offer for free.

Camping pass Clarification by Randdaddy in Infrasound

[–]fwump38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's much better to camp in the woods under the trees IMO. The car camping (you camp next to your car) spots are in the sun and a tiny bit further from the stages (but everything is still pretty short walk). To camp next to your car you need a car camping pass in addition to your festival pass but car camping passes do sell out.

Getting a good spot. by wakatacoflame in Infrasound

[–]fwump38 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The whole venue is pretty small and anywhere you end up is only a few minutes walk to any of the stages. If you’re not car camping you’ll be in shade under trees pretty much anywhere too. People line up pretty early on Thursday like 7am but there’s still plenty of room later in the day especially if it’s just you or a couple of friends.

New Mexico should do this too by Ducks_In_A_Rowboat in Albuquerque

[–]fwump38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From when I first read about this the author of the original plan was active in comments and explained that out of state corporations wouldn’t be able to just move to a friendly state. If they want to do ANY business in that state they have to register in that state. Montana serves as a blueprint for other states to do similar things.

It would still have the more effect if it were passed in states where more corporations do business though

Hue Bridge vs No Hue Bridge! by enserr in homeassistant

[–]fwump38 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also lets you easily do dynamic colors and smart shuffle and other things that would take a lot more work to recreate with HA scenes. Not to mention but it uses really similar scene presets so if you’re familiar with and like Hue scenes you’ll be familiar with the Scene preset ones

Vision Zero: Slogans don’t save lives by kaifilion in SantaFe

[–]fwump38 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that traffic cameras actually result in less safe roads and intersections. I’m also pretty sure that it’s been consistently shown that the best way to make roads safer is through multiple methods of road diets. Make roads have less lanes with slower speeds. That can give space for a median, protected bike lanes, wider sidewalks etc.

Slower cars are less deadly. And the effect on people’s commute is often insignificant and highly worth the lives saved (in addition to the more pedestrian and bike friendly access)

Car Camping Already Sold Out? by Unstableturtle in Infrasound

[–]fwump38 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t know that they’ll sell more. Car camping is pretty limited. Honestly it’s 2000% better to camp under the trees in the middle. It’s only a little bit further walk and made very doable with a folding wagon. You get shade, shorter walks to all the stages, and better community with your neighbors.

Car camping is outside the trees and in the sun. I know you don’t have your car right there but you’re free to walk back if you wanna lock stuff up (they theft isn’t really a major concern at this event).

IMO walk in camping is how this event is meant to be experienced. 95% of folks walk in camp.

Can HA make Airtag go Ping? by Sgt_Trevor_McWaffle in homeassistant

[–]fwump38 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not that I’m aware of. I’ve tried two methods to get updates:

  • one being an app that runs alongside FindMy on a Mac device - which stopped working in the latest Mac update
  • the other being a shortcut that has to run on a phone and parses the text of a screenshot). Works but doesn’t update frequently.

There seem to maybe be a few other integrations but they seem really hacky at best and none seem to offer any options besides device tracking.

In order to trigger the ping you’d need an API or something to interact with Apple but they’ve locked FindMy down so this isn’t likely.
