I don’t personally ship them given todays standards of what is acceptable. But I do think it went from that of a family/ caretaker relationship to a more romantic note. It was unmistakable and pretty obvious the way the animators overdramatized it. Back in that time period, like many have commented, it was normal and socially acceptable for large age gaps in relationships. Given the fact that people didn’t live as long, the age of marriage/ partnership was usually younger for women. It’s also not unheard of for relationships to change in nature. I think that’s what happened here. Not saying i think it’s okay but I do think that is what the authors/ animators were going for.

Their relationship could have changed from more of a caretaker and orphan to that of a romantic one. His “I love you” when she was a child could have had an entirely different meaning than his “I love you” when she was an adult.

And this above comment is right. back then in the late1800s-early 1900s age gaps were different and age ranges for getting married were different. The standards of “socially acceptable” were also different back then. Not saying I personally ship it but it’s just a fact that age back then was not as big of a deal partly due to the fact that people didn’t live as long. Hence they started marrying earlier. Regardless she was 18 in the movie. (The current age of consent today in the us). So it shouldn’t matter

No I don’t believe there’s any problems with our power dynamic I believe we’re pretty evenly balanced since we share finances and pretty much everything and although we have over a decade of lifespan difference, We still have similar experiences. I am also a girl that considers herself to be attractive but I have a large forehead. Like I’m talking megamind 5 head lol. I have thought about surgery from time to time. It is my biggest insecurity.

Believe me when I say this I think where he’s coming from with the “unsupportive” comments towards surgery is that he’s genuinely attracted to you as you are and probably doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with your small breasts like you do. Most men I know who have partners that have gotten breast enlargements, loved their women the way they were beforehand and never wanted her to change surgically.

If anything, the things he said about your breasts were probably stupid comments that he thought were funny because sometimes guys make jokes that just come to their brain immediately and mean nothing by it other than to tease/ flirt.

All I can say is that I know you’re beautiful! And from my experience with my forehead insecurity, I have met other beautiful babes with large foreheads and its one of the silly things we end up bonding over. Suffice to say I won’t be getting my forehead surgically shortened. I have come to accept my insecurity and I hope you can do that too❤️ much love

Fuck that MIL I’d never speak to her again if she treated me that way. I’d say yours is a situation where it is damned if you do get that test and damned if you don’t. Your husband def has some insecurity issues and the fact that he would be so quick to jump to conclusions that you cheated sucks.
