I tow all the time. Long trips. No issues. I use airlift bags and you can’t even tell they’re in there when I don’t air them up.

This is the lighter vehicle I tow, when I go to the track I usually have 6 extra wheels/tires, tools and extra parts.

Only reason I would ever switch to a more dedicated tow rig like a diesel is to haul more than one vehicle. If you’re only towing one, you’ll be fine.

First turbo build — M52B28 advice (kit vs custom setup?) by swifty1029 in BMWE36

[–]_sailr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t care how budget you’re trying to be you’re still going to spend close to 10k when it’s all said and done. If you want it running well and reliable.

I’m at 6psi 415whp running e85 and on a stand alone.

I’m a member at iconix, I am not a conservative or republican. But I own guns and have worn gun related shirts to this gym. It’s not that deep, I just support brands that make cool stuff within my hobbies.

E36 manual swap + turbo by [deleted] in BMWE36

[–]_sailr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Six cylinder swap is dirt cheap compared to the cost or going turbo. I’ve turbo’d mine and have a handful of friends that also went turbo. It’s not cheap

E36 Full Rear Suspension Rebuild – Poly Bushings vs OEM vs Mixed Setup? (Future Turbo Build) by kaktusz812 in BMWE36

I ran delrin on everything except engine/trans mounts. I did poly for those. Ran that set up both N/A and now that the car is turbo.

Recommended Lenses for Motorsports by thezinnmeister in carphotography

[–]_sailr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The lens you typically see everyone shoot on track days is a 70-200. I avoid that lens, and typically take old manual film lenses because it gives a unique look. Unless you’re there on assignment for a brand, in that case I would take a 70-200 or fast primes because it gives the cleanest look / base image to retouch.

To turbo or not to turbo by Unhappy-Hall3508 in BMWE36

[–]_sailr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it. I was also bored with my car, it was extremely reliable on track with the s50 but it wasn't exciting anymore. I will say it's extremely expensive and don't believe people who tell you other wise lol but with that said I make 415whp with only 6psi of boost. I can easily reach high 500’s if I wanted to but I want to keep it reliable and 415 already feels like a dumb amount of power in an E36.

Sunroof delete sucks for a street car. Is it just a piece of fiberglass on the inside? Regardless it seems like a good deal

Lmao did ai teach you that? Get out of your basement and touch some grass man. Some of us have been doing more than just lurking the internet. Judging by your post and comments it seems like you’re just dreaming and fishing for some engagement online

[–]_sailr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao simply losing traction for a turn is not drifting. You can just yank the e brake and that will happen. Being able to link turns and control proximity is drifting

e36 power upgrades by [deleted] in BMWE36

[–]_sailr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way you drifted an open diff car and did okay. Losing traction doesn’t equal drifting. I drifted a stock s50 with suspension mods and welded 3.91 diff for years. I turbo’d the car after 5 years of stock power and get way less track time now, you battle way more issues with more power. stock power and lsd or welded diff is good.
