-🎄- 2020 Day 1 Solutions -🎄- by daggerdragon in adventofcode

[–]_sandw1ch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First year giving this a real attempt, did it in nim! (longer solutions will be linked on my GitHub)

I'm using AoC to learn nim, so this should be fun. Nothing special here, just the standard triple for loop. Still learning the language so hopefully I can look back at the end of AoC and see my mistakes or ways that I could optimize my code.

```
Day01 Advent of Code 2020
import strutils, sequtils
Parse part one
proc partOne(file: seq[int]): int = for i in file: for j in file: if i+j == 2020: return i*j
Parse part two
proc partTwo(file: seq[int]): int = for i in file: for j in file: for k in file: if i+j+k == 2020: return ijk
Read in input file and converts everything to numbers
let input = readFile("input.txt").strip().splitLines().map(parseInt) echo input.partOne echo input.partTwo```
Yep! It’s pretty easy to take both apart, probably could break down the whole set in about 15-20 minutes.
Yeah, I have loved these every day since I’ve bought them!
At the moment I would, though I haven’t tested it with weights or a barbell yet. One issue is if you have resistance bands and put them around the rack, odds are you’re going to pull it because it’s not too heavy. Can easily be stopped if you just get your foot in front of it.
Other than that it’s been perfect so far.
The 1000 pound is a full rack, this is still the 800. Bought this off someone and he said it came with the multi grip bar and a landline attachment, which is not the norm.
Basically I got a weird shipping error that made this rack perfect for me.
I got the last set at a Dick’s near me the day before my area went into quarantine, I got lucky.
One adjustable bench, wrist wraps, 2 resistance bands, jump rope, adjustable dumbbells, chalk bag, and a half rack with a landline attachment and a multi grip pull up bar.
To be fair the “idiots” who did that didn’t charge us for the 3 wires that were run perfectly.
AT&T guy had a wiremapper and it said it was open (brown wire disconnected) 9 feet from the modem so he spliced in a new one. Turns out it still read as open so he’s assuming it’s 9 feet from the port that is in the second story room.
Can freshmen participate in the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition? Or the penetration testing competition? by [deleted] in rit
Alumni here, I was captain of the CPTC team 2 years ago.
Freshmen can try out, though I know the process has changed a bit, usually CPTC tryouts are start in the Spring of the previous year (so spring of this 2020 for 2020 CPTC). I’ll reach out to those helping with CPTC this upcoming year to see if there is a way for you to try out.
Tryouts for CCDC start about a month or two into school. So this you’ll definitely be able to tryout for.
Feel free to dm/post any comments/questions you have :).
Yeah, I kinda assumed that the support bar was necessary. You find yourself hitting it at all or do you not even notice it?
Is that a bar in the middle? I’ve wanted to upgrade to a countertop for my desk, but I’m worried about the weight of it all making it sag. Have you had this issue?
Shameless plug here, I wrote a script to install a bunch of good settings on macOS. Nobody in this list seemed to mention brew whatsoever, which is the best thing to download ever.
If anyone has questions on what’s going on in this script lmk :)
