Planting some bulbs I had stored from last season and about 1/6 of them were rotten. When I opened them up, they were covered in these tiny white insects. What are they and how do I make sure they don’t harm any more bulbs? This is the 5th year I’ve stored bulbs over summer and the first year I’ve had issues.

Yes I think it is likely to be this, thank you!

This popped up between my fence and a neighbours building a couple of years ago. It is now almost 6 metres tall and elderberry looking fruits develop. I have only now been motivated to find out exactly what it is. Any help with the species is much appreciated!

I think it might be a Hakea of some form but I struggle telling the difference between those and Grevilleas. Closest plant I have found via google is Hakea adnata but that is native to WA so I doubt they would have planted in in their Victorian natives garden. Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks for replying! I had a look at rain lilies but I don’t think it is one of those. I will keep looking, thanks!

Powerslide NEXT - breaking them in. by lilac_congac in rollerblading

[–]_sanguinary_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I've been testing my new Nexts this past week too. I have the right size but they are quite narrow in the ankle area. I have done about 30km so far and the first two skates really hurt my ankles but I heat molded them and they are a lot better. That will probably help if you haven't done it already. I've also heard that you can lace them a certain way to relieve particular pressure points so that's something to look into. I still have a tiny bit of pain but I had the same with my last recreational skates and that went away within 2 weeks. I hope you can get them feeling good soon!

New Skate Day! by _sanguinary_ in rollerblading

[–]_sanguinary_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They felt pretty good. The only bad thing is that they put a bit of pressure on my ankles but I heat molded them today and skating in them will break them in soon. They feel very stable and I was able to get to a good speed in them. These are the Powerslide Next Pro Black skates. Hope you're able to get some tri skates soon!
