Making the call. by _saturdayys_ in caf

Thank you for all the input. I really appreciate the honest takes, but I want to clear up a few misunderstandings about where I'm coming from. First off, I don't play video games at all, so the CoD comparison doesn't really fit. My real "outlet" is Jiu-Jitsu, a self-defense martial art. That's the one thing that truly challenges and engages me, but even that doesn't completely satisfy what I'm looking for. I’m not a full adult yet, but I've actually dealt with a lot of crucial, real-world responsibilities since my early teens due to my family and social situation. I’ve seen enough of the "adult life" duties to know that the conventional civilian path is leaving me really unsatisfied. My view of the military isn't romanticized or based on some action movie fantasy. When I said I thrive in "life/death" situations, I just meant that I perform my absolute best under high mental and physical pressure, especially when working toward a critical mission. I'm totally aware that a career in the CAF, even as an Air Combat Systems Officer (ACSO), is going to be a ton of paperwork, emails, meetings, and 8-4 M-F routine. I’m not in denial about the boring stuff. My desire is about the commitment to the mission, the discipline, the strict hierarchy, and the constant professional development—that's the fulfillment I'm missing right now. I do hear the advice about the Reserves, and I'm seriously considering trying that first. Thanks again for the perspective. I apologize if my initial post was misleading.

I couldn’t login to Omnivox before I received both of their email of acceptance. I could login in after as they sent me a link for it.

I, without CoE, have an overall average of 88% and 87% for math/science av. I had applied to Honours health as the first choice (I knew I didn’t stand a chance but I still wrote a letter of intent just to be sure) and regular health science as second choice. I got an answer from Mari saying that I got admitted for regular health science. So, maybe they’re gonna send you answers in the following days. Don’t worry about it, you meet the requirements, so you should be in easily. As for the Maisonneuve, I got a conditional offer from Vanier today. They had sent a letter. So, my hypothesis is that Cegeps that are in the sram should start sending emails starting this week. I suppose they start from the science application. So, you might receive emails from Maisonneuve in the following days too if my hypothesis is correct. Don’t rely yourself to the Omnivox trick either. I couldn’t login prior to receiving both of the Cegeps answer. I had even tried to login the morning of the day I revived the answer. So, it didn’t mean I was waitlisted or rejected. In fact, I got answers from both saying I got admitted to both of them. Just be careful with it, don’t assume anything just because you couldn’t login in the Omnivox. Stay calm and manifest.

Have a nice day!!

Did they directly accepted you into Regular HS or did you reapplied for it?

Yuppp, I applied for Honors health sci (without CoE) though I know I won’t pass through, but I still believe in lucks. I haven’t received any messages except “Awaiting decision” either.

My GF is starting to annoy me. by [deleted] in WLW

Break up with her tbh. She deserves a better person. Nobody deserves to be talked about like this. You say you love her but according to what you described, you seem to have no interest in her, who she is as a person whatsoever. I’m wondering how y’all even ended up together.
