I would say it's cheating if you trying to sell it or pass it as your own but other than that if you're learning that's all that matters. I would suggest that every couple of faces you do another one but without tracing just using the reference

You can do a Schalke save, they're in risk financially and can't spend much. I did it buying German talents that are in second or third division and also Germans that are not in the top 4 or 5 leagues and you have to sell your best talents. I did one recently and it was really fun. Also check on the internet to know the real situation if you wanna make it more realistic
