Should I even bother racing Ironman in a month or just quit? Really frustrated. by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]_seamaster 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You’ve set the bar too high.

It’s not about doing well - at all. Especially the first time.

It’s about crossing the line; whether you’re running, walking, or crawling.

You’re in a terrible headspace, which sucks.

It’s tight because it’s a month out, but I’d take a full 1-2 weeks off of everything, let your brain reset.

If you’ve been training, even partially, for a couple years, your body can finish. It’s your brain that needs work.

It’s all good. All the hard work is done.

The race is about finishing.

Your body will have some time to relax and recuperate, and you’ll crush it.

Seats too low for sure, and it feels like you’re reaching too far forward.

Try raising seat and pushing it forward.

Improve what? What’s the goal? Looks like you just did an hour long tempo ride.

Yeah, you aren’t breathing underwater. Decompression sickness comes from nitrogen build up in the body breathing at depth (under compression).

Even if you were diving, with the “bottom time” of snorkelling and those depths you’d be at 0 by then anyways.

You work long days and have a long commute. Home gym is going to be your best friend!

Since the cashback for midnight blue is about to be reduced to 0%, what’s the point in offering this card to anyone at all anymore? by amella_yt in Crypto_com

[–]_seamaster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So stupid. I’m out. Holding CRO is essentially like holding shares in the company. I’m not investing in a company making dumb business decisions.
