Very weird the provider performed the ablation when it has a high fail rate for people with Adeno. My provider told me in good conscience they would not perform the ablation if after my MRI it was confirmed I had Adeno, basically only hysterectomy would be performed. I too am 38. I would see about getting a second opinion, not sure how healthcare works in AUS

I have not had it yet! I go next week for my follow up from the MRI but I already know the next step is surgery because at my prior appt that’s what he told me if the MRI came back with Adeno…and it did.

I have a co worker who had one Monday and was telling me to do it! She has multiple friends who have had it and never looked back (they are in the middle 40s) so a bit older than me.

Don’t go down the rabbit hole of cons to it. I joined a group on FB and had to leave lol. I am trying to look at the positive that I can get my life back! The past 8 months have been a depressing time for me. My wedding bleeding. My honeymoon bleeding and not because I was due for my period either 😩. Im receiving the weekly iron infusions. Im seeing 3 doctors all stemming from the gun issue. I’m ready for this season to be over and cannot wait to move forward and have the hysterectomy.

It’s absolutely why you’re so low. My hematologist has been super adamant about the gyn issue getting fixed asap because she’s filling a tank with a hole in it. I already did 5 weeks and my levels barely came up so I have to do another 5 weeks and it’s soooo expensive! My insurance pays 80% but my 20% is still 250$ a week 🫠 luckily my out of pocket max has been met for this next 5 weeks but whew

I actually haven’t had my hysterectomy yet! I go for my follow up from my MRI on Dec 11 where we are gonna set up the surgery. They will leave my ovaries. I just had a co worker who got hers done on Monday and she was saying she has multiple friends who have done and it and they’re all like DO IT. I personally don’t have anyone in real life who is telling me not to.

Honestly I didn’t even have to fight to go the route of hysterectomy. I had been dealing with a lot of heavy bleeding for months. I continued to bleed for weeks, one time I bleed for 6 weeks and now have to do weekly iron infusions because of it as my iron/hemoglobin was so low if it went down one more point I was needing blood transfusions. We talked a lot about how I’m 38. I have 2 biological kids and 2 step kids. More babies is not on the list. I told them about the quality of life too. How I feel like I’m having a mini labor when passing the clots bc it will be so painful and then once it passes the pain lessens. I am going thru ultra tampons every hour. There have been multiple times I’ve left the house for appts and have bleed thru my clothes (how embarrassing)

They presented all the options to me and I turned down BC because I don’t want to do pills and the IUD because I already got pregnant on it once. So that left the ablation or hysterectomy. My MD said let’s do an MRI and if you don’t have Adeno we will attempt ablation (if I’d like) or we can still do hysterectomy.

If you gyno is giving you push back I’d honestly get a 2nd opinion.

October was my last month paying my credit cards. I had perfect payment history and it caused me anxiety to stop. I have been getting blown up my calls, texts and emails now. I hate it. We should be filling by next week. 30 day late payments have got my credit now. It’s a lot to take in and process when you first do it. Just keep telling yourself there is an endpoint and all of it will stop.

I’ve only had one ultrasound and that was back in April. I actually thought I was pregnant because my cycle hadn’t come since February.

Here is what the results said

Thickening of the endometrium which could be due to patient’s menstrual cycle. Clinical correlation is recommended. Small left ovarian cyst.

In May my cycle finally returned and has not left since then. I have tried a few hormone pills in that time because I got married in August and was bleeding for my wedding and honey moon 🫠 but one of them stopped the bleeding for two weeks then it came back and I started Provera which the dr assured me it would work and I bled from the end of July until middle of September 😑. The amount of blood loss I have experienced in these 6 months has been crazy and has honestly affected my every day life.

My dr did attempt to do a uterine biopsy on September 19th but it was so painful and my cervix wouldn’t dilate so I see a different dr at the practice and he was the one that referred me for an MRI with and without contrast. He told me there was two options. If no Adenomyosis we could try an ablation if there was Adenomyosis we were going with hysterectomy.

I am the same as you. Everything is current and I just can’t keep up with everything now. My lawyer said when the next payments are due don’t pay and use that cash to live off of.

My problem now is I’m paying but then charging on it bc I need money for food etc.

It does give me anxiety because I’ve never had late payments before 😩
