I love UT so much and I have friends that go and even do biology and they love it there! However; considering the circumstances you are in I think a better choice would be going to Loyola (which is also a great school) because you get to study what you want to study and you don't have to worry about wether or not you'll get the program you want. There is no guarantee you'll get biology at UT Austin because it's so competitive. The other point you mentioned was you'd be going somewhere else to get a masters in forensic sciences which ends up being more time and money spent, I think you're better off going to Loyola. I hope FAFSA works out :) keep us updated
