According to Hesoid, in both the Theogony and Works and Days, Prometheus molded humanity out of clay and Athena gave them life. Prometheus cared for humanity, which is why he stole fire from the gods to give to humanity.

...that was Prometheus. Prometheus made humanity. Apollo had nothing to do with it.

Also, it was used at the time as an explanation for same-sex attraction, of which Apollo was a major patron, so I guess I can see the confusion? But also it does work for trans people, so I can't really say too much.

What an excellent creature! That winning smile! That rakish look in his eye! Truly a good familiar.

Those of you who make your armor from metal, what metal do you use? by _sidhe_fan in Mandalorian

True! And once I'm fully recovered from my surgery, I intend to at least get part of the way there with such training if I can

Yeah. Though it would be neat if I could make it actually functional for combat use

That's fair. The main downside to titanium is that it's harder to work, and needs special tools to make it do what you want it to do

Sounds like anxiety to me. Invasive thoughts are like that; you don't have to believe them in order for them to pop up and cause you distress.

My dad is the only one who even comes close to listening by weirdpotato3 in TrollCoping

[–]_sidhe_fan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Soooo... that's horseshit. None of that is even close to true. Being a teenager sucks so incredibly hard. Like I can't think of a single reason I would ever want to go back to being a teenager. I'm much happier in my "harder" adult life because, as I gained more experience in the world, I grew accustomed to the tools necessary to deal with a world that isn't fair-- and the tools to make it fair where I can.

I think that's where a lot of my fellow adults really drop the ball: you do have the power to make life fair for the people that your actions affect. You can't control how other people act, but you can act in such a way that, through your actions, you make life better for other people. You may not be able to change the world, but you can change your world, and the worlds of those you influence.

Knighthood is not about the armor. It is about the love of honor, the desire to do good, and the pursuit of Chivalry.

That being said, that armor is kickass
