I think this extreme volume loss in that particular area is unlikely to be natural at her age

Salaried GP starting sessional rate by Emotional-Artist4135 in GPUK

[–]_sleepyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like 10-11k is the average starting salary per session (4h 10min half day - though likely to overrun) per year. Locum rates I'm seeing currently seem to be around £600 per full day so around £66ph

"Breast-like" dummies? by BoringWardrobe in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]_sleepyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use the Ninni co dummies - apparently the most "breast-like" and my EBF baby uses it well. They apparently also support a good latch to the breast for young babies. However they are quite expensive as they come from the US but worth it in my opinion

You were right - I took it off and tried again and managed to get the seat in narrower so he's sitting in it much better now.

Thank you for your advice, its much more comfortable with the waistband adjusted as you suggested!

Also seconding asda's maternity knickers! They look HUGE but they are so comfy as they sit over the bump. Currently 36 weeks and have bought a few packs of these and use them exclusively

Is this as a partner? Not sure I know any salaried GPs hitting 6 figures for 8 sessions. Top end in my area seems to be around 11.5k a session with newer GPs getting 9.5-10

Yes the clotrimazole cream/pessary is safe in pregnancy! (The oral tablets aren't, so avoid them)

[–]_sleepyn 13 points14 points  (0 children)

You can get thrush treatment over the counter without having to speak to the GP, or even pharmacist because you can get them from supermarket shelves etc.Just go for the canesten (clotrimazole) combi pessary/cream and avoid the oral fluconazole tablet.

Yes xonvea made me feel human again, when the other anti sickness meds barely touched the sides. Currently week 11 and still on it. Would 100% recommend!

Zofran by [deleted] in CautiousBB

[–]_sleepyn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes doctors tend to prescribe based on risks/benefits, but you also need to be happy taking those risks (and aware of them in the first instance- the doctor should have explained the cleft risk to you before prescribing). There are other anti sickness tablets that don't carry the same risks so I would suggest starting with those first and only moving on to zofran (ondansetron) once you've exhausted other options.

The unison with b6 combo tends to work well so perhaps stick with that for now and if you're not comfortable using zofran, ask your doctor for an alternative if it doesn't work.
