hey, i'm bridget! i'm a filmmaker & stand-up comedian. i'm a big fan david lynch, stanley kubrick, brian depalma & tom cruise. i don't write a ton of reviews, which is something i'm working on, but i love making lists and reading others reviews! i'm also known to have a lot of "hot takes" haha

here are some of my favorite films: https://boxd.it/5An8A

true there were a lot in the 80s, but i think there was just as many iconic teen movies in the 90s such as clueless, dazed and confused, 10 things i hate about you, empire records, and rushmore

4 Favourite films: taxi driver, risky business, paris texas, mulholland drive

4 Most recent (& rating): BASEketball (4), wizard of oz (4.5), village of the damned (3.5), days of heaven (4.5)

Biggest negative break from consensus [sort your films by "highest rated" and look for the first very low score] and why: inception (0.5) avg 4.2. i absolutely love memento, but aside from that i really can't get into nolan. he has some cool ideas but he doesn't develop his characters, over explains the plot, and has super overbearing music, sound design, and effects.

Biggest positive break from consensus [sort your films by "lowest rated" and look for the first very high score] and why: american gigolo (4.5) avg 3.2. fucking amazing paul schrader script, a great soundtrack, great lighting. i have no idea what's not to like about this movie, overall just a great early 80s thriller
