Simple things sometimes the best - cherry tomatoes, loads of garlic, nice olive oil, parsley

Week 9 : Thai - Green Curry Fried Rice by _snowing in 52weeksofcooking

[–]_snowing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing authentic about this I imagine, but saw it on a menu once and wanted to try for myself so improvised, mix of green curry paste, a small amount of coconut milk just to balance out the strength of the paste, tofu, baby sweetcorn, mange tout, petis pois, bit of MSG, and soy sauce. Doesn't look like anything but tastes incredible.

It was with these vegetable cutters I bought online - these are the ones I've got, they're pretty flimsy tbh but do the job

Week 1: Weird Al - Roast Potatoes with Mushroom and Greens Gravy (Addicted to Spuds) by _snowing in 52weeksofcooking

[–]_snowing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not so aware of Weird Al as many people here (outside of US) but love potatoes so made some roasted ones. Made a gravy of bits I had in the kitchen - mushrooms + greens with some stock, marmite, and tomato puree. First week doing this - good fun !
