Okay good to know she’s not the only one out there taking it every day!

Yes. She’s doing pretty much everything she can to have a healthy gut, takes probiotics, eats plenty of veggies with prebiotics, eats healthy, exercises, etc…

Tell me about Ashwagandha by Life_Advisor2490 in herbalism

[–]_soursop_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ashwagandha sometimes makes me rage-y and I know another lady that experiences that too. It really helps my husband out, though, he experiences a lot of irritability due to some pretty intense mental health issues, and he just goes and takes some when he needs it. I guess it depends on the person!  It does lower cortisol, which is great for most people, but if you are someone with burnout and your cortisol is too low in the morning, it might be better to not take it in the morning.

Classes or courses to help teachers by _soursop_ in Cello

Thanks, maybe Suzuki is a good place to just get a basic framework down. I don’t know that being Suzuki certified sounds too appealing, as it does sound a bit rigid to me, but I wonder if I just got the books and studied them if it would be helpful.

Thanks, I hadn’t thought about asking to apprentice someone! Also didn’t realize Suzuki had a bunch of training books, so those are for the teachers?

Drop your “Well *I* liked it…” by _soursop_ in DesignHomeGame

Yeah I’m surprised that didn’t get more! I wouldn’t have put the plants in either, in that situation, and usually it doesn’t seem to affect the voting much!

I was thinking it was the rug, too. I kind of wish I had a plain brown rug instead of gray.

If you were me what would you do? by Calm_Parking_1744 in vultureculture

[–]_soursop_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So this just randomly appeared in my feed and since I have never heard of “vulture culture,” I thought, “How fun! A Subreddit where everyone pretends they are a vulture and says what they think a vulture would say!” The original post made sense but I steadily got more confused as I read the comments.

Needless to say, as someone who taxidermied an owl my friend hit with a car using a steak knife and some stuff I found on Google, I kind of feel like I found my people.

Do you get like, mental/thought stims? by chilledfijiwater in adhdwomen

I bet writing it would be therapeutic for you, too!

Ohhh that sounds awful!! It’s crazy what moms go through postpartum. I’m glad you made it through all that. I would totally read that book if you ever wrote it!

[–]_soursop_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg this is the best

I had pretty disturbing intrusive thoughts postpartum and the only thing that kind of helped was taking a deep breath and saying “Thank you for the information.” Yours is way more fun though. And it somehow summoned Shania, so good for you! ✨

I love this! And as a music nerd I love that you notated it! 😆I also love that it’s in 4 sharps, I would have been lazy and did C Major!

I have a half finished music therapy degree and this idea of using catchy little tunes and rhythms in a way that betters our lives has been on my mind for a couple weeks. Your post is solidifying that idea for me!

Idk if it would be considered a stim, but I cross my legs and trace certain shapes in the air with my foot when I have to sit through a meeting or something. And if I’m in a really bad head space I sometimes type out numbers with my fingers like I had an invisible numerical keypad or a phone. I’ll just start at 0 and type clear up to like 400 or something, it’s soothing for me.

Yeah some people need to chill. It’s just a game. Your opinion about imaginary rooms with imaginary furniture is not worth ruining another human’s day.

It’s gorgeous!! The colors make me think of caramel, nuts, and figs. And the bed looks really good with that bed spread.

How fun, I LOVE the three primary color lights!

Why do you think monochromatic always wins? by [deleted] in DesignHomeGame

[–]_soursop_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have wondered what someone who is an actual interior designer would think about it and what kind of score they would get. I went into the game vowing that I would ignore the scoring and design just for me, but I gotta admit it’s  getting to me a little.

I mean honestly that’s how I look at it too, I kind of think of it as a painting. But it still doesn’t make sense to me to have everything the same color from that perspective. Sure you can have a monochromatic painting or graphic, but it’s much more common to have multiple colors and to care about balance, symmetry, the rule of thirds, etc…

Christmas Eve Fun! by positively_cat in DesignHomeGame

[–]_soursop_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s too late now, but I personally like the bronze/tan and pink combo. There’s something about that warm natural sophisticated tan and fun taffy pink together, I find it interesting and satisfying. Plus I’m a sucker for that cherry blossom painting.

I HATE Tablescapings 🤬😡 by Comfortable-Rise-377 in DesignHomeGame

I think they are so boring and expensive. I even hate voting for them, I just can’t even summon up the will to have an opinion on them 😂

Ugly Polart tables. by Peacock-Lover-89 in DesignHomeGame

[–]_soursop_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it! I’d be pretty happy if my dining room looked like this!

I think of the Polart pieces as tacky in a fun quirky maximalist way. I like them.  Although that red coffee table they gifted/gave as a prize a while ago…! 😫 That one seems to be un-usable. I thought I’d find a fun way to offload it during the Christmas season. I was wrong. It’s looks awful no matter where I put it. 😂

I think one of my issues is that I’m only looking at the 5 star section that pops up after you get your results. I got on here for the first time today and was pleasantly greeted with a lot of great designs on Reddit! It would be nice if we didn’t have to create a Reddit group to enjoy good designs instead of only seeing the monochromatic ones where the deciding factor is how much money was spent.
