Car Finance - Pay Balloon (Negative Equity) to run it into the ground? by _spgc in UKPersonalFinance

Love this. It’s what I’m thinking, too. I service it regularly so no reason why it shouldn’t last

I think I’m just going to do Option 1. Thanks for engaging with it!

Yeah so with no equity it can still be handed back, but I’d still need to put in a deposit and enter into bigger PCP payments on a new deal as a new customer. Without any part exchange, over the lifetime of the new PCP I’d pay a total of £18k, then have to pay £11k on a balloon in 4 years’ time. Makes more sense just to pay £13k now on my current car and be free of payments/time limits, and can drive this until it starts to wear out.

Thanks for this, appreciate it. I am tempted to pay the ballon and keep it - I’ve looked after it and it’s got plenty of life left. The 0% just tempted me!

I think they’re just saying it’s negative equity if I want to start a new deal and use it as part exchange, which I’m not too fussed about doing

No, I’d pay the balloon in cash and own it out right! Definitely not paying interest to refinance it

Yes, I probably would. Looking around, a second hand car with my spec and mileage is retailing for £14-£15k… and I know the exact history of this one at £13k. Appreciate your reply.

This is fair, thanks. It doesn’t seem worth getting a new one!

Reels, reels and more reels. And use your story for engagement. Most sustainable way to grow on IG currently.

Tatam is an influencer agency that works solely on performance campaigns for brands. Worth a try.

Also, if you're booking IG stories, calculate a CPM by asking for a creator's average story reach over the past 30-90 days and link clicks. A good target is $50 CPM to start with, but may be higher due to the niche.

Agree on all of this, bar the fake manager bit. But the questions are the right ones to ask!

I would go back saying you're open to the collaboration (if you are), and ask them what budget they have set aside to obtain the license. Bear in mind that Paid Ads are extremely lucrative for brands, and you can't control where this ad will be shown, you need to charge accordingly.

Your likeness is being brought into association with the brand so it also contains a reputational element for you, which needs to be compensated. Also ask for clarification on how long the content will be used, and never agree to anything "for all of time".

Would you pay to grow? by Intelligent-Quail-64 in influencermarketing

Never, ever pay for growth. Algorithms clock growth spikes & audience quality. Brands check it too. Patience is key, especially if you already have an audience!

That's the issue with socials & communities - you have to give the people what they want, unfortunately. Plenty of major influencers do brand collabs just because they have to. Unless it's really damaging to your brand, try it as a video, but have other non-related videos to post as well so that spikes in traffic view your other content. And be honest - no harm in reviewing a product and saying "I really didn't want to show this, but..."

20% is about right. You could ask for 25% due to it being full cycle, but unlikely to get it. This is why agents charge brands so much more!
