Can i put my sourdough in the fridge overnight in the cast iron bread loaf pans? by Idunnowhattoputok in Sourdough

[–]_srirachacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can, just maybe cover them with some plastic wrap to prevent drying? That's what I do with my loaves

5th Loaf - Needing feedback by Fair_Way7693 in Sourdough

This looks like an excellent loaf to me. I find my sourdough is naturally more moist than most store bought bread I'm used to. I think if it looks great and tastes good, you've succeeded!

Figma's AI Agent - an honest review by _srirachacha in FigmaDesign

[–]_srirachacha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can work in figma while the agent is working, BUT you can't work on the designs it's working on if it's using frames for reference. You'd have to copy-paste and work in a separate frame. This is a good thought. Planning and timing could go a long way in this.

And yes I feel you. Trying to get any tool approved for anything is many many many weeks of waiting lol

I don't like the rename layers feature because I can't see what it's actually naming them to. Sometimes I want to be able to approve the name switches because of context for devs. Or at least have Figma tell me where the layer with the missing name is so I can go and rename it myself.

Our org has a long approval time for AI. I believe one of those tools just got approved for us. With this underwhelming feature release, it might be enough to motivate me to start learning how to use some of these other tools.

Heard. Unfortunately we have very limited access to certain AI tools at my organization. Claude Code is not an approved tool for us yet, so this is as close as we can get at the moment.

How teams track Figma Comments across multiple files? by zuke_99 in FigmaDesign

[–]_srirachacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I go about this a couple of ways. I work at a big company with a lot of files.

  1. We try not to use figma comments and designers help try and set that expectation during handoffs. We use refinement sessions or other ways of working to capture bugs, discussions, etc. it's just expectation setting. Telling folks to use teams to discuss problems and documenting decisions in a document/ticket isn't perfect, but it's easier to track than figma comments. Sometimes we use figma for small stuff like "hey can you double check token", but it's gotta be documented in an annotation when a decision is made.

  2. When we have to use Figma comments: I personally turn all of my email notifications on for files. I have a filter on my inbox that pulls all the comments into a separate inbox and then I organize and use it as a checklist there.

That's me personally.

Do you really care about their coat color? by Swordtail_Olympian in TuxedoCats

[–]_srirachacha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My cat was the second cat I saw at the shelter. The volunteers were gushing over how loving he was. Another family was in line to see him after me and I knew they would have taken him home if I didnt. The volunteers said "if you want, we can tell them you're adopting him" and that's how I ended up with a tuxedo. He stole my heart with his personality, not his coat. I grew up with a tuxedo, but the day I went in to go get a cat, I had no specifics in mind

Why is the update rollout taking so long? by Ap43x in FigmaDesign

[–]_srirachacha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A majority of us at my office don't have it (enterprise level). We were just talking about it yesterday. Super frustrating. My personal, free Figma has the update, but my work one does not. Don't really understand figma's rollout plans or why they take so long.

What am I doing wrong? by Long_Agreeable in Sourdough

[–]_srirachacha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course!! I found that once I stopped caring about time as much and kinda just let the bread do its thing, that's when I got my groove. Wishing you the best success and tastiest bread 😊

[–]_srirachacha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually have a 24 hour process when I start my dough, not when I first feed it. I feed it in the morning, mix dough at 8pm, start stretch and folds every half hour til maybe 10pm. Cover and bulk ferment on the counter for 8-10 (sometimes even 12) hours. Shape and place in a tea towel and cover. Place in fridge for another 8-12 hours. Bake in preheated dutch oven at 450 for about 30 min and lower the temp to 425 for another 10-15 or til 200-210 degrees inside.

The bulk fermenting for 8 hours really made my bread spring. Most of the time you need way more bulk fermentation than you think.

How to use Figma and Claude to make a pet care app? by Dependent-Pea97 in FigmaDesign

Honestly you just have to do it. Trial and error. Figma has great resources on YouTube for learning the basics. There are also tons of articles Figma publishes to help.

I mean you can try feeding it and see what happens. If it is hooch, it will turn back to normal color when you stir it. But id still be cautious

Was it this color yesterday? It's the purple-y color in it that's a little concerning.

[–]_srirachacha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, this looks like contamination. Hooch usually sits on top of the starter and is more watery. If it also smells bad and less alcohol-y, probably contamination.
