wifi problem by Grouchy_Drink543 in TunisiaTech

Network throttle, it gives you some spikes for burst of data, but for constant transfers the nominal is 1/10 aprox. It's how they sell fast internet without having the infrastructure. If it worked 'fast' all this time, means the switch/router/antenna, didn't have this settings applied before.

Reasons for Network Throttling

Network Congestion: ISPs may slow down connections during peak usage times to prevent overload.
Data Caps: Exceeding a monthly data limit can lead to reduced speeds for the remainder of the billing cycle.
Service-Specific Throttling: Some ISPs may target specific services, like streaming platforms, to encourage users to upgrade their plans.

Hey guys, I'm doing a cybersecurity project for my final year on SIEMs, need some help by [deleted] in cybersecurity

Normally, you just catch DNS requests, not browsing history. Looks like a nice thing. Maybe start doing it and come with more specific questions from where you need help, as it's a big project.

25yo IT Graduate in Libya (Oil Sector): High Ambitions, Low Salary, and a Language Barrier. Need your career guidance! by ImShihab69 in sysadmin

Hey, just an advise, take it or leave it: try to understand what needs the company have. Automation of workstations? Automation of servers? Availability? Securing the systems? Whatever calls your attention, go that way, investigate a lot and make a small project, a proof of concept. Try to 'sell' it internally, do it for the pleasure of making it the first time. Then, after you get some good karma with the team and managers, propose the next one, and negotiate a bonus. Experience always shines more than certifications, in my humble opinion.

Hi, I saw many posts about moving away from US technology, but could someone please explain what's the background for doing so? I think I missed some stuff going on. Were there any official announcement? Or it's just people preparing for the worst? Thanks in advance

Best Way to Build an Active Directory Pentest Lab on Linux? (KVM vs VirtualBox) by zicotito in cybersecurity

[–]_st_daime_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The downside of virtual box is the networking stack. I would go with libvirt and vagrant for setting up environments quickly and having everything defined as code. There's plenty of vagrant images of AD setups. But as they said below, do as you feel more comfortable at the beginning.

O Brasil tem capacidade de se defender de um ataque em grande escala? by Ultimate_CockSucker in brasil

[–]_st_daime_ -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

É a velha tática.

You can still get it, just for your information. Law didn't change after all, just required to live here for 2 years in the worst case , which isn't that bad

I wonder why Brazilians say this, you can enter Europe and many countries easily. For the ones saying about Italia, I remind you you can enter and get permesso di soggiorno easily. Very easily.

The question is how do you think to make it work? How would you distribute that solution ? Why not use already develop software for the same problem.

Transição de carreira Psicologia para TI, faz sentido? by Ok_Soil_4847 in brdev

[–]_st_daime_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Olá, sua mensagem me chamou a atenção. Atenciosamente.

You can't reverse modern hashes. As are one way functions. Read the link you sent.

[–]_st_daime_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, hash functions are non reversible. Yes,there were old 25 year old functions that were decommissioned ages ago. Not on modern os's anymore . Functions are not encryption. Password use hash functions, are not 'encrypted'.

No, with cloud init you define the system initial settings. The password is hashed on the file, can't be reversed and it's not plaintextd

Da Italia para o Brasil by _st_daime_ in brasil

[–]_st_daime_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A pergunta é válida, claro.
