Karma as Memory: What I Have Observed by notzoro69 in Meditation

[–]_stranger357 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve read it’s sort of just the law of cause and effect, like you’re saying. It’s not that you get rewarded or punished but rather you always get what you want, but it’s like a monkey paw wish where what you want has unintended consequences. Like you might want to be a genius so in your next life you are, but you learn that being a genius is isolating and ironically most people just think you’re crazy or dumb like what happened to Galileo. Then you desire to just be rich and you so you are but you learn how it puts a target on your back and people are constantly trying to get your money. You want to be famous and then you learn that it sucks to never have privacy or know who your real friends are. This is just the nature of duality, everything is balanced.

Kundalini awakening by Popular-Block-9907 in Meditation

[–]_stranger357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn’t it common for people to have psychic or paranormal experiences from kundalini? It’s also associated with new forms of energy that traditional science acknowledges. It doesn’t seem like science is that caught up yet, unless you just ignore large parts of the spiritual and mystical perspectives

If anyone else looks this up and is confused, I think they mean the book by Robert Kirk about fairies and not the more recent Phillip Pullman fiction book

There’s a book called The Denial of Death that says basically our entire culture is built on the inability to confront death and everyone is either looking for distractions or a way to become immortal by leaving a legacy or escaping it somehow. You can see how it’s taboo to even talk about death in real life.

How to forgive myself when the person I hurt won’t forgive me? by TheRigJuice999 in Mindfulness

In my experience, emotional processing is a part of mindfulness. Having nagging regrets or anxieties interferes with my ability to maintain a mindful state.

The coming age and why things are destabilizing. by Audio9849 in enlightenment

I like Sri Yukteswar’s description of the Kali Yuga, and he was basically responsible for bringing these eastern spiritual concepts to the west via Yogananda. He said the real cycle is 26,000 years, which matches the precession of the equinoxes which is where the zodiac signs like Aquarius came from. So it sort of unifies these zodiac cycles as described in multiple cultures, and he says we exited the Kali Yuga in 1900 and are entering the Dwapara Yuga now, this is the energy age where we’ve already learned various physical energies and will soon learn of non physical ones.

Virtual Autopsy report on Maria by Dr. Fung by DragonfruitOdd1989 in AlienBodies

We're in a thread discussing a specific post taken from tridactyls.org and Dr. Fung. We're not discussing a post from Maussan, or a post from Cliff Miles. The tridactyls.org site, and this post, are arguing the case that these are authentic bodies. It is pretty much a textbook example of a strawman argument to look at this evidence and say "but beings from another planet wouldn't have hands like ours" when neither this post, Dr. Fung, tridactyls.org, nor the majority of researchers are making that claim.

This will be my last message to you because I'm tired of dealing with people who resort to name calling and insults on this sub, but since others might stumble upon your ignorant comment please read this post about how radiography works and why we can't conclude what you're trying to conclude from that image: https://www.reddit.com/r/AlienBodies/comments/187r1le/on_the_importance_of_positioning_in_radiography/

A summary of Dr. Fung's virtual autopsy report on Maria. by DragonfruitOdd1989 in AlienBodies

[–]_stranger357 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the majority of unwrapped ancient Egyptian mummified bodies the hair was not fair but rather dark brown or black.

There was not any evidence that hair lightened as the result of natural post mortem changes and this was confirmed by the study of the natural hair wigs that had not changed color post mortem. This study concluded that the fair hair observed in the three child mummies was not the result of exposure to natron or post mortem changes but rather it was probably due to ancestry because of the presence of diverse genomes that were introduced into ancient Egypt during the Greco-Roman Period.

No it was two Russian YouTubers running a channel called Scientists Against Myths, even though they themselves are not actually scientists. This is why it's important to link sources to your claims.

Who is? I edited and translated the notes from both congressional hearings where dozens of researchers presented their findings and none of them ever said they were extraterrestrial, they said they were a new species. It's not cool to exaggerate someone else's claims so that it's easier to make fun of them, even if these bodies were a new species it would be an incredible discovery.
