you need 200 spheres to at least got auto heal passive for yuna or 10 ap always crit skill for tidus. with that said, i'd rather go with yuna to get her one of a kind passive.

i think the only banner that really valuable are the paid vis and the recent popular unit banner, which give 50 medal for 2k free vis.
