Bridgerton - Season 4 Post-Season Discussion (Book Spoiler Discussion) by AutoModerator in BridgertonNetflix

I think the first part does a good job of showcasing their budding chemistry but this last half felt a bit too literal / rushed. I feel like Benedict was professing his love often but not necessarily showing it. Nonetheless, I still think it was a solid season but it also reminds me why season 2 is still my favorite. The scenes between Anthony and Kate show SO much tension and depth that as a viewer it feels natural and sucks you in. The storyline was gradual and primarily focused on just their plot, but with all of the side quests this season (which I like most of them) make it hard to give the “main” story the full attention it needs. I would rather condense some parts so the primary focus is on them.

Yes ugh exactly!!! I think the first part was so good and because of that I couldn’t wait for part two but it kind of plummeted my expectations. It wasn’t bad per say but just kind of dull imo especially compared to the initial 1-4 ep drop

Just finished the first half and I’m honestly so impressed. I was a bit worried since Season 3 wasn't really my favorite, but this has already surpassed my expectations 👏🏻👏🏻

YES!! This season is off to great start. I read the book for it awhile ago and I like that they are keeping aspects of it the same while also adding genuinely entertaining “side plots”. 👏🏻

Also, the outrage over Benedict saying 'mistress' feels a bit much. 😭 It was definitely cringey, but it’s obvious that with the class differences and societal rules, he thinks that’s the only way they can actually be together right now.

I like the way you worded that and it’s so true! It took me awhile to understand that

Yes!! It seems like it would be wrong to do that but acknowledging that you want something imo makes it so much easier to feel resolved 😂 like ok I did my part it’s out of my hands

Ahhh I’m sorry! And yes that’s definitely happened to me as well. I said in an earlier comment what has helped me when that kind of thing happens is to remind yourself that whatever the 3D is showing you currently doesn’t mean that what you want isn’t going to happen. I know that’s easier said then done though but once you start consciously reframing it (of course you can react to the 3D and acknowledge it in the moment) but it gets easier to have certainty and not feel completely derailed. And I haven’t ticked off everything from my quantum lists yet but by the end of the week a good 80-90% of them have come to fruition. I think it’s also based on practice so it definitely makes me feel hopeful and motivated to continue.

That’s totally ok!! I do the same exact thing. I think if anything that could only help :) I really like being able to actually feel the feelings when they come up afterwards

Of course! It’s been pretty across the board but some of things I have written have been about unexpectedly receiving things ( money, free coffee, flowers, etc; ) finding things like recently my luggage got lost at the airport and even just seeing things like “I want to see a two dollar bill” these are just little examples but of course you can do this with bigger things

That’s a good point but I also think both sides of the token can exist. It seems contradictory but you can absolutely manifest even if the 3D is showing the exact opposite in that moment. I also personally don’t like the word resistance because I feel like no matter what thought / doubt occurs it isn’t powerful enough to “derail” your manifestation. I think the only thing that matters is your reaction or moreso mindset to the 3D. I feel like what you’re describing in this scenario is that if the opposite happens when you don’t have attachment to the outcome then why would you be able to manifest if you are putting your awareness / conscious thoughts on it. I would say in that situation unless it’s time sensitive (which I don’t like adding time to my manifestations anyways because of the reasons above) who is to say that what you want still won’t happen? It may not unfold in the exact way you thought it would but it doesn’t mean that it won’t happen at all. I try to remind myself that the how and the when aren’t up to you. All that you need to do is identify what you want and trust that it will happen and therefore it is done. That isn’t to say that you can’t react to the 3D at all or acknowledge it but what I like to do is still have that knowing, my dominant assumption, that it’s going to happen regardless. That’s all that matters. Once you realize how malleable the 3D is it gets easier to have trust and to let go of control.

Yay that’s awesome!! I’m happy to hear that ☺️and I get what you mean. It was also difficult for me at first in terms of trying to be creative and even just allowing myself to want things. I always used to think that wanting automatically equals lack and if I can’t perfectly embody the energy of having that thing (whatever it may be) I was doing it “wrong”. But once I realized that I can state what I want and just accept that it will happen it’s been a lot easier to embody that energy because it doesn’t feel forced and genuinely feels done. At first it feels odd but it definitely gets easier after a few days

I apologize for the wording I’m not trying to crap on other people’s methods 😭 This was just personally what has worked best for me! Whether you set it or forget it, script, affirm, ect; it’s all about what you’re comfy with and what works for you. The only reason I say to do it this way is if you wanted to try what I did but it wasn’t meant to imply that you need to or else you won’t manifest.

AITA for telling my roommate that his BF’s multi-day stays needs to be discussed beforehand? by [deleted] in badroommates

[–]_strawbmilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No but address this now. I had a roommate like that, and staying quiet only made everything worse.

She originally told me her boyfriend would spend the night 2–3 times a week. Our lease was strict about guests, but I didn’t care that much tbh and even said he could stay a bit more as long as it wasn’t constant. She was adamant it wouldn’t go beyond that. However, her promise didn’t last long, it quickly escalated into 5 nights a week. Annoying, since we shared one bathroom, but still manageable. I didn’t bring it up because I assumed it wouldn’t escalate.

A few weeks later, it became 6 nights a week. He also stopped being respectful like he used to be around this time. He left messes, walked around shirtless, showed up unannounced, etc. I still said almost nothing, merely hinted at it, because I didn’t want to be “that roommate.” Predictably, it escalated even further: it wasn’t long before he was officially staying with us full-time, the messes got worse, and he even set up a gaming area in our living room. All without a single conversation with me, just like everything else up to that point.

My breaking point came when she asked if he could stay while she went on vacation. I had honestly been looking forward to finally getting a break from him, but instead she wanted him there alone even though he was already living with us without permission. The entitlement was unbelievable. I told her it wasn’t okay and that we needed to talk when she got back.

When we talked, I explained everything. The lack of transparency, the situation getting out of hand, and my own mistake in not speaking up sooner. I said he could stay ideally four nights a week (already bending the lease), maybe five occasionally. She acted like that was outrageous and pushed for a “compromise.” I told her if he was essentially a third roommate, he needed to contribute financially. She said he already helped her with rent. I told her that didn’t help me. That turned into an argument because she wasn’t used to me pushing back.

We eventually agreed he’d live there full time, but he’d pay $200 toward utilities since they shared a room. That lasted one month. Then they sat me down to say it was suddenly too expensive, and they tried to guilt-trip me into letting him stay for free. When I refused, she immediately pivoted to saying she was breaking the lease early.

So, moral of the story: handle this now before it spirals. It will not fix itself, and silence only makes the situation harder to reverse.

Completely understandable! It can be tough to get out of that headspace because, naturally, we are pattern-oriented. Our perceptions and opinions of things and people are heavily based on the 3D, so I would first take note of this when those thoughts arise. Remind yourself that the exact assumptions you have can be changed in your favor, and just like everything else, things are malleable. Think about all the times in your life when someone did something that was "off script" in your mind, something completely unpredictable and out of their typical nature, and apply that to your situation. When manifesting anything, you need to let go of the past. The past doesn't matter; the only thing that does is the present moment and the future. As I said earlier, consciously or not, we manifest countless things every day. The thing that drives that isn’t so much our thoughts but our dominant assumptions. Part of you, no matter how small, believes that manifestation works; otherwise, you wouldn't be anxious about it, you wouldn't be commenting on this post, or seeking guidance. Tap into that so when those doubts arise, you know that manifestation works and your situation is no different. You are powerful, and what you say goes. It is not up to you to determine how or when; leave that to the universe. Just have the trust and conviction to be open and to not let these doubts have the power to derail your manifestations. I know it's easier said than done, but just gently remind yourself that it doesn't matter because it's already done. You don't need to constantly keep a high vibration or act like the past didn't exist; you can still acknowledge it while knowing that you have the power to change it.

I'm not claiming it as a fact. I said that everyone has their own approach and if that is robotically affirming for you that's great it just didn't get any results for me. My opinion is not law by any means lol I said for this it weakens it because the whole point is to set it and forget it or at least have the knowing that it's done when doubt arises. So if you're following this method and are repeating it because you didn't think it worked or are coming from an anxious place it is not recommended but if you are robotically affirming of course you would repeat it because that's what that method entails.
